Shocking concept I know.

Basically a dreamer .

But with a seemingly unlimited budget he can make these become real .

Although I agree that some of his " ideas " are a bit out of whack .

When Women have Wrestling matches over there. They wear full body suits that cover their arms and legs entirely.

You're not gonna see Women's Boxing with Women in Sports Bras, and Shorts.

Saudi Arabia is too uncivilized for that. They'd be trying to rape them girls on the way to the ring.
They wouldn't get very far. A smack in the chops and they would soon go off the idea.

All Hail Mr Turki! He made dreams fights come true!

If he'd make Tank vs Loma or Lopez, that would be great!

Canelo vs Benavidez

They throw those M's like they are napkins.

He seems to be on the same page as most boxing fans: and throwing his money around trying to establish himself as THE man in boxing.

However, what he is doing is 100% reliant on having a big budget - the big time promoters who appear in his pocket are undoubtedly there just to empty it, and soon as the pocket are empty they will leave him and boxing will go back to where it was previously.

His Excellency has/is not putting anything together that suggests longevity. He is trying to skim take the cream off the top - but what is left then remains to be seen.

His Excellency is the best thing that's happened to boxing in the modern (post Ali) era.

As he said boxing was broken.

With corrupt judging/refereeing, privileged fighters allowed rampant PED usage, horrible one sided contracts, and worst of all, hugely desirable fights not being made down to greedy prima Donna/Canelo-like behaviours, it was time someone brave enough to repair it stepped in.

If he was to walk away tomorrow, I'd still be thankful for what he's done but I hope he sticks around to deliver the kind of fights that we all want to see.

The kind of fights that made us fall in love with boxing in the first place.

So far, so good.

No kidding. In what world do the Saudis go bankrupt, at least not for 30 years while oil is still a thing.

Only thing that could happen is if Alalshikh has a falling out with MBS and finds himself exiled to a small island or an even smaller box

30 years is nothing.

Saudi Arabia holds 266,578,000,000 barrels of proven oil reserves as of 2023, ranking 2nd in the world and accounting for about 16.2% of the world's total oil reserves of 1,650,585,140,000 barrels.

Saudi Arabia has proven reserves equivalent to 221.2 times its annual consumption. This means that, without Net Exports, there would be about 221 years of oil left (at current consumption levels and excluding unproven reserves).

Any person that can get the great and powerful to genuflect, flatter and be nauseatingly sycophantic towards them and doesnt have the first name of King, President or Sheikh is all right by me.

Agreed. Seems alright, too. Spoke briefly on Talksport and Jim White was him 'his excellency' and he said, ' Just call me Turki'.

Throwing the cash about but is forcing most of the fights we want to see. All the promoters love 'His Excellency', and are happy to go with his choices, I wonder why that is....

He is good for Boxing and considering he is a Boxing fan, can't really see many negatives, here.
