Hunter vs. Chaney will be for the Interim WBA world title.
"Super" or "Regular"?
Also, no way can they allow Don King to get his hands on the WBA title...
I also saw rumours that Hunter lost his fight recently but it hasn't been recognised by Boxrec? What's going on there?
he lost on an iba show to artem suslenkov, boxrec doesnt seem to recognize some of the iba shows. hunter was better early on but wasnt in good shape and suslenkov outworked him , albeit not with particularly high quality shots
I might bet on Hunter to lose by decision to Chaney if I can find it.

no idea
hunter looked out of shape and unmotivated for it though. looked way too happy congratulating suslenkov on winning. maybe he got a late offer he couldnt resist or something? or knew the fight wouldnt count on his 'normal' record? i wouldnt be surprised if he turns up better vs chaney, then again maybe he's just at that stage of his career where he doesnt give a f@ck i n general anymore. he was piss poor vs jerry forrest a couple years ago too

Could end up being a massive waste of talent. Beating Bakole then a draw with Povetkin then shows no ambition or desire.

I'm tempted to say Usyk 1, Joshua 2, and Zhang 3.
Zhang, as the B side, seemed a little harshly treated by the judges in both the Hrgovic and Parker fights.
He also looked better than ever against Wilder.
As he said when talking to Queensberry Promotions before his all or nothing clash with Wilder.
βI made a big mistake underestimating Parker. I had to admit it happened.
At the same time, I learned a lot from that fight, we came back, we analyzed every little detail, and we corrected our mistakes.
I believe the next fight, itβs gonna be a new me. We did make a few adjustments; we have nutritionist Chris Algieri, whoβs helping us remotely β¦ as you can see my face is trimming down already.
I feel a lot better, but the power is still there.β
He certainly looked fresher and showed no signs of his usual mid fight tiring, but then again Wilder hardly set a frantic pace.
As for Joshua and Dubois, I think they both benefitted from sharing ringtime with most skilled HW of our times.
How could they not learn from facing the best? After being stretched by Usyk, everyone else must feel a little bit slower and a little bit easier to hit.
Even if he doesn't know it, Oleksandr Usyk is already the best trainer in HW boxing.

zhang has a case for winning the hrgovic fight, but he defo shouldve lost to parker. he hurt joe whenever he landed even half clean, but he had no work rate to get anything going aside from the kds and nose bust. you can give him the 10-8s and a couple other rounds, but defo not the fight
you could tell joe was in constant pain with the nose bust, which made it extra frustrating to watch zhang barely able to throw punches to take advantage
zhang was nearly 300 pounds for parker, it's good he lost some weight for wilder

I wouldn't say "defo" though. My card ended up 113-113. It was a close fight with the KDs.

Zhang 6
Dubois 8
Hrgovic 10
Wilder out
Actually I'm going to change my vote.
Dubois 8
Hrgovic no change
Watching the fight live, I wasn't thrilled about Dubois getting a victory based on a cuts stoppage as he was clearly using his head. Then I saw this:
That looks like a blatant screw job to me. And the referee was clearly aware of the head as well, as he stopped the fight to warn Dubois at one point when it was particularly egregious.
It reminds me of the 20+ "accidental" low blows that Ajagba hit Kossobutskiy with. lol
So, whilst I am forced to move Dubois to 8, I can't punish Hrgovic for what transpired there (especially, considering if it had gone to the cards).

It begs the question, is the choir boy Dubois the dirtiest heavyweight at the moment? Headbutts, low blows, Mocking Joyce's blind mum. Is he deep down a nasty piece of work or is he retarded?

I imagine most will add Ruiz/Miller winner come August to fill the vacant spot. Unlikely to have a relevant fight before then which gets someone else in there.

AJ vs Dubois for the vacant IBF belt and Kabayel vs Zhang for the WBC mandatory?
