If Canelo v Eubank Jr ever happens I’ll display a picture of my bare arse on here.

Make sure its clean then , personaly its a fight i've often thought may happen , Canelo does tend to like beating up Englishmen .keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 13:33jameswilson wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 12:43 If Canelo v Eubank Jr ever happens I’ll display a picture of my bare arse on here.![]()
If Beefy can do it, Canelo can do it quicker and probably more devastatingly. It's not something I'd pay for.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 12:40Would be a good spectacle, but Canelo will stop Eubank faster than you can say, 'Why did he just throw three uppercuts in a row?'
Me either, brother.KiwiRider wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 00:09If Beefy can do it, Canelo can do it quicker and probably more devastatingly. Not so sure about that for the millions he would make i think JNr would see sencejameswilson wrote: ↑29 Oct 2024, 07:07 Canelo and his excellency don’t like each other. They also don’t really need each other, Canelo makes millions upon millions every fight he has.
You then add in Eubank Jr has an over inflated opinion of his own value. He’ll probably argue he deserves 50-50 because he had the IBO title. Canelo will quickly move to one of the other 4 or 5 candidates vying for a fight with him very quickly once he sees how unbearable Jr is to try and deal with.
He’s got beef with the UK cos of Eddie. Plus he’s always high. And if it did sell out Wembley many people would be coming to see Canelo. Oscar doesn’t realise the Eubank name carries weight in the UK. Anyway won’t happen and Eubank would get batteredhandsofstone wrote: ↑30 Oct 2024, 15:00 Oscar tweeted it'll sell out Wembley because UK fans don't know sh1t about boxing, I'm all for ripping the piss out of Canelo/Eubank Jr but fck that weirdo pudendum
We love a bit of banter over here and almost love it if someone makes fun or insults us.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Oct 2024, 15:00 Oscar tweeted it'll sell out Wembley because UK fans don't know sh1t about boxing, I'm all for ripping the piss out of Canelo/Eubank Jr but fck that weirdo pudendum
Because he's always wanted to fight in the UK.johninmanchester wrote: ↑31 Oct 2024, 13:06 Why wound Canelo, coming to the end of his career, leave tens of millions of dollars on the table to go and fight in the UK?
Canelo tells UK fight fans he "dreams of fighting in the UK" the way touring bands tell stadiums "OMG you guys here in <name of city> are the loudest, craziest fans we've ever had. He is far and away the biggest name on their roster. If he even is on their roster. They announced "a partnership", not a fighter signing.KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 13:22 I still don't understand why Boxxer want Chris at this stage of a career that has gradually fizzled out, without any notable achievements.
His age is my main stumbling block, sure some guys do have Cinderella tail ends to their careers, but at 35, I feel it's almost time for the curtains to close.
Or maybe he actually wants to fight here and he's prepared to take a possible pay cut to do it. Johnny Tapia did it.johninmanchester wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 14:31 Canelo tells UK fight fans he "dreams of fighting in the UK" the way touring bands tell stadiums "OMG you guys here in <name of city> are the loudest, craziest fans we've ever had. With all due respect to Tapia, he was nowhere near the marquee name Canelo is. Tapia was a legend in his own way, but to the real boxing fans, not the mainstream sports world.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 14:42Or maybe he actually wants to fight here and he's prepared to take a possible pay cut to do it. When you think Jr is 35 - His dad walked away at 32 and with the fights he had under his belt. Safe to say that in comparison Jr's career has been underwhelming, however his earnings have not.KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 13:22 I still don't understand why Boxxer want Chris at this stage of a career that has gradually fizzled out, without any notable achievements.

Sorry to single that bit out, but have you got a source? I just haven't heard that.johninmanchester wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 14:31 . And the way the Saudis are already pulling spend back, I don't see that being a thing.
In a nutshell, their shows have all lost millions and the PIF (Saudi state fund) has told them no more wasting money on overseas shows. All spend now to be in Riyadh.KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 23:05Sorry to single that bit out, but have you got a source? I just haven't heard that.johninmanchester wrote: ↑19 Nov 2024, 14:31 . I was just reading this article

Which is recent and it seems to be going swimmingly.
https://theboxingtribune.com/csac-repor ... cial-flop/Earlier this month, Bob Arum, the chief executive of boxing promotion Top Rank (which is partnered with Riyadh Season), explained that the Riyadh Season brand will no longer be holding boxing cards outside of Saudi Arabia.
This is ostensibly due to the lack of success that the brand’s last Los Angeles event (Bivol vs Beterbiev) saw, as well as pushback against chief Turki Alalshikh from internal higher-ups in Saudi Arabia for staging events outside the country.
According to a report by Kevin Iole, the Saudis’ first US effort at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, with Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov as the main event, “likely lost more than $10 million” and that “scores of tickets– thousands of them” had to be given away for the mega-hyped event held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
Hey, thanks a lot for that. This tells us a few things.
1- the people of Infinite Money aren't idiots. Just because they have infinite money doesn't mean they are prepared to throw it away by the truckload for no gain.
2- the Saudi boxing thing will eventually wind down. When it started, money was no object. Temperature was at 100. Now that's already climbed down - "no wasting money overseas". As the novelty wears off and boxing turns out to do nothing at all for Saudi tourism, the temperature will drop further.
3- every promoter should try and take all the money off the table now while it's there. We've seen evidence already now that Saudi temperature on boxing can drop and will drop. We're also running out of huge marquee fights soon. Eventually we will have Fury Joshua and that will be the death knell of it all, the final big battle for the casual fanbase. All viewer numbers will be way downhill after that, further lowering Saudi enthusiasm.
