I agree, the "knockdown" would've been the difference for me. The decision was fine, though.
Anyway, the fight was an absolute war.
Main Event is about to start. Doheny looks big and strong.
I could see Inoue having trouble knocking him out.
Maybe it's gonna be more interesting than expected.

It's amazing how a fighter as good as TJ is reduced to cowering in the corner flinching from every feint within minutes.

This would be great BUT there should be nothing stopping this happening now. Inoue is going to be running out of big name opponents at super bantamweight so should move up soon which would leave a bigger weight gap between him and Nakatani. Now we have to see Inoue vs Goodman before we get to see him against MJ, Casimero or whoever else.
If this is their plan after Inoue demolishes Goodman, hopefully Nakatani faces Takuma Inoue as the co-main of Inoue vs MJ before Naoya faces Nakatani.

Doheny was clearly the bigger man in there but he become a sitting target as fatigue began to set in.
It's to Inoue's immense credit the way he's continually moved up in weight so successfully.
Peerless technique and power helps too.
However, he is getting a little predictable in there and it might just be a matter of time before a future opponent finds the right game plan and can make the size advantage tell.

Looks like it may have been more of a slip than a knockdown but it came on the end of a punch so by the rules should be rules a knockdown.

I'd guess around 135.
