tim fought back well after the 2nd kd, looks like he may have even buzzed murt a bit, but then murta caught him again and the legs were gone

murta spent years getting step asides from charlo, but when his time came he's delivered
that said I've seen enough of him to know he shouldn't be easily destroying world class fighters like that. did the fundora fight take it out of tim? Wonder where he can go from him?

Wow.
Not surprised that Murt won but I didn't think it would be easy and quick.

Disappointing for Tim but take nothing away from bahkram. Tim fought like an over confident, almost arrogant fighter not giving bahkram any respect. I’m sure he wasn’t but it appeared that way. Went away from his jab, held his hands low. Credit to bahkram. Quick hands.

Great job to Bahram. Tszyu walking in with his hands down wasn’t a good look. Fundora fight should have been a NC (anyone else it would have been). Very poor management for Tszyu they were gonna bring him back with Vergil Ortiz. This was a winnable fight but ya know box a little. Know when to hold. Management has to know they have a very exciting fighter and need to protect him some. Bahkram would have beat Charlo and now we know why they avoided him.
Exciting nonetheless

This devastating result basically leaves Tszyu’s career hanging by a thread and there is no clear path back to a world title fight.

I'm guessing Zerafa in March or April is next for Tszyu.

Big rebuilding process for Tszyu.
154 full of great fighters.
Maybe a fight with Kurbanov. Then see where he goes from there.

Everybody pretty much underestimated Murtazaliev for this fight. Tszyu looked bang average against a heavy handed, good boxer. I was astounded at how easy Murtazaliev made it look.
This was terrible matchmaking and another heavy loss for Tsyzu. He needs to go right back to the drawing board and fight some cans.

Tszyu tried to bang and got the bad end of it. To be fair tszyu landed some monster shots of his own but the y were taken well.
Tszyu big rest then zerafa.

Zerafa gets blown out by Tim. Nikita deserves that pay day but I understand what and why people are saying Tim should look at Zerafa - be a great confidence builder for him.

In the first rnd i called it , said whats going on Tims Looking for that right hand and only the right hand , dropping his left , then dropping his right , i repeated , he's a ko waiting to happen and boom seconds later he was down , Over confident in both his ability and his power , But thats what you get when you have a carreer made out of handpicked winnable fights , sames gonna happen to Nikita IF he steps up and i say IF

Tszyu could be the next Chisora of 154-160 divisions.

Massive win for Murtazaliev, brutally exposed Tim’s lack of defensive responsibility and timed some brilliant hooks, especially with the left hand. A crushing loss for Tszyu by all accounts, Bakhram was long with the bookies too but made a mockery of that in fairness to him.

Demolition job from Murtazaliev, didn't see that coming although I knew nothing of him going in, pretty evenly matched 1st round, both were landing but round 2 Tszyu got dropped hard by a left hook then a quality right/left, he fought pretty well after second knockdown but got rocked again amd and down from rights, last shot looked back of head but no intent, Tszyu was still in a bad way coming out for 3rd, as soon as he went down in the 3rd it should've been stopped, again it was that left hook, top drawer from Murtazaliev, thankfully not long after the towel come in, ref was horrendous

Tims head never cleared and was fighting off instinct after the first KD. Marta took full advantage of Tim's inability to fully recover and coming in recklessly.
Such a big fan of Tim, but his team has done him no favors in his recent match making. I mean coming off a loss and matching him against a tall boxer with good boxing, a good motor and power to boot.
Hard to see a road to another title shot for Tim. That is a tough one to come back from.

He’ll be fine. A few wins against guys with nice records brought in to lose in Australia and he’ll be back into the mandatory range. Tim is exciting and was very carefully managed before stepping up. He has taken a few lumps but he can come back in a world where there are four alphabet belt holders in every weight division. I’d like to see him at middleweight since there is an incredible lack of talent in that division. Would love to see him batter Lara into retirement, for instance. Although off the last two fights I am not sure he’s capable of it

Feel blessed that his teams visions are fan friendly, loved Tszyu's interview after, no excuses took it like a manNateJR wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 09:53 Tims head never cleared and was fighting off instinct after the first KD. I wouldn't mind seeing Tim fight for the commonwealth belt or even against JJ Metcalf or Kelly. Exciting fights. He's a fun watch
Re: Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu | PRIME PBC - October 19, 2024
Bonkers tactics in this fight though. Met a banger with his left low. No movement and tried slugging
Re: Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu | PRIME PBC - October 19, 2024
Tszyu looked as bad as Joshua against Dubois.

I've been wondering how much did Murtazaliev weigh, while in the ring for that bout.
He looked easily 175 lbs, maybe even 180..?
He's 5'11-1/2 while Tim is only 5'9. They're build types are overall basically similiar(Meso Athletic).
Murtazaliev has broader shoulders and a brawnier back though.
Bigger Neck too.
I'd favor him versus Madrimov, and Bohachuck.
Amazing that he cuts down to 154.
Probably walks around at 185-190.
