It's such a hard result to explain isn't it ?
Complacency ?
I guess any pro-fighter - even underweight non-punchers - can KTFO if they catch it right.
In one way it's very annoying - promoters can point to it and say - "This non-puncher from the weight div below on the French domestic scene is a dangerous challenger...."

At least Mung cashed in vs Canelo. He can bounce back in rematch.
Could Munguia's chin quality have been affected by taking Canelo's shots?
That was my thought. I dont know tough to explain

Some upset from Surace, lost every round, Munguia has him down in the 2nd from a big left hook, Munguia stalked and pressured all night, Surace was hard to hit clean and got through with some sneaky counters but nothing to suggest he could KO Munguia but round 6 he caught him with a perfect right across the jaw to put him away, major upset

"Bruno Surace" reminds me of "Carlos Baldomir".
He's a Rope a Dope version of Baldomir.
"Canelo" could very well choose "Surace" as his next opponent.
It would sell well.
I can just picture it in the press conference...
Canelo: Doan wuh-wee Hy-Me, I'll get that Frenchie..!!

it was a perfect right hand .
I kind of think jaime had not prepared as well as in the past / maybe overlooking or not taking the guy seriously .

That’s too many ko’s ain’t it?
Stevie Wonder's stoppage ratio would be higher than that.
This a world title fight.
Well, we all thought it!
I know I saw it.
Walked right into that one didn't I
The punch that finished him didn't seem all that.
I was wrong.

What a punch that was. So quick. Look at the impact it had on Mungia, looked like whiplash and his head bounced off the canvas.
Not many would have taken that shot, maybe GGG or Canelo? But Mungia didn't see it and it knocked him cuckoo.
What a win for the French guy. That was Mungia's homecoming fight wasn't it.
I reckon Hearn (s) will be all over Oscar for this one.
