x2. I hope Agit wins, deserves a title shot, already 3 x EBU champ and been the B-side for too long.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025, 09:10Kabayel is of Kurdish origin, don’t think he’d enjoy being callled Turkish![]()

Zhilei Zhang: ‘Agit Kabayel is the toughest opponent I will ever face’
“Of course he's a threat,” Zhang told BS. “He had two tremendous wins against Makhmudov and Frank Sanchez. Of course he's a threat to me and he is my whole focus right now. He's the toughest opponent I will ever face.”
“It’s not only power but Chinese power,” he said. “Everyone will see.”
“I do things one step at a time,” he said. “I can't really talk about the future without beating Kabayel. So we'll see what happens on February 22nd.
“Usyk is at the top of the pyramid, so if that is the case I’ll definitely stand up against him. I look forward to that day."

Hard to write off a skilled behemoth like Zhang, but I've seen enough improvement in Kabayel to believe he's going to pull it off...and perhaps more convincingly than anyone else so far !
Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Agit Kabayel | PPV - 22 February 2025
Think Agit boxes well but gets caught and goes out. Just a question of when as he likes to hang in the pocket a bit and get his shots off. Perfect for one of those well timed Zhangers.
He's on a roll but that Russian with a tick got KO'd again in his last fight and been found out. Which puts a bit of perspective on that win.

Zhang has 3-4 rounds before he completely gasses. Kab will win if he boxes smart.

Reckon Kabayel breaks down Zhang as he did Makmudov and possibly stops him late on

Bookies have Kabayel stoppage as most likely outcome at 2-1Gran Hermano wrote: ↑18 Feb 2025, 04:27 Reckon Kabayel breaks down Zhang as he did Makmudov and possibly stops him late on

Well. Some of us predicted Joshua would be ko`d in 5 by Dub.

Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Agit Kabayel | PPV - 22 February 2025
yes I agree with that - tho it will surely take longer and need a bit more care to avoid the big left - it will be a step up for Kabayel to beat Zhang but as the younger fresher fighter he can follow the Joe Parker gameplan but without getting dropped ..Gran Hermano wrote: ↑18 Feb 2025, 04:27 Reckon Kabayel breaks down Zhang as he did Makmudov and possibly stops him late on

Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Agit Kabayel | PPV - 22 February 2025
I was high on Zhang because I thought the Chinese PEDs would increase his stamina. It appears either he's not taking them or they are not working. He will be blowing out of his behind after 4 rounds. If heavyweight fights were 4 round affairs, he would be the heavyweight King but unfortunately for him, its 10/12 rounds and he just doesn't have the stamina for it at this age. It's impossible to pick him. If you are betting on him, just bet on him to win by KO in the first 6 rounds. Any other bet is not worth it.
Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Agit Kabayel | PPV - 22 February 2025
I think most people agree with that, it's just some think he's going to land the KO punch. Kabayel isn't impossible to catch and his chin isn't granite either. I'd be surprised if anyone is predicting Kabayel by early stoppage or Zhang by points/very late stoppage. Personally, I think Kabayel takes a late stoppage.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑20 Feb 2025, 08:13 I was high on Zhang because I thought the Chinese PEDs would increase his stamina. If we are talking PEDs then you need to look in both corners.

Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Agit Kabayel | PPV - 22 February 2025
The problem is that the gameplan is just so easy for Kabayel. Stay away for the first 4-5 and then come on strong. He's got very good lateral movement. He might get tagged but he should be up and on his bike. With Zhangs stamina such a weakness, you can give him the first few rounds and after 4-5 rounds you will not have much in front of you. Zhang can fight tired but it's very low output stuff. The Joe Parker performance was dire. Parker didn't have to do much to sweep the rounds from the fourth on. Just don't make any mistakes like Wilder who telegraphed his lead right hand and didn't set up the punch. I have to go with Kabayel and hope he has the common sense to be prepared to lose the first few rounds. If he comes out aggressively and gets starched then I just have to put that down to a low iq gameplan.
