I’m going all in on Donovan. He’s looked consistently world class whenever I’ve seen him.
Andy Lee factor might be the difference.

One of those fights where you find out so much about each fighter that will inform your opinion later on. Can Paddy take the power? Will he have to, or can he nullify Croc’s offence? Will Croc’s power carry up the levels?

I've heard Hearn talk some nonsense in his time, but this is next level.... massive mismatch maybe.

An old trick Hearn the younger has learned from those clever dickies Maloney, W@rren and his old man. Put your boxer's name in the same sentence with the top brass enough times and hopefully the masses start believing that boxer belongs in that company.

Classic example was Scott Harrison. Continually mentioned in same breath as Barrera, Morales, Pacquiao, Marquez....but no intention whatsoever to make a fight with any one them.

That said, if Crocker or Donovan are deemed to have earned their title shot then mismatch or not they should get their crack.

Step By Step by Whitney - damn I remember Neville Brown coming out to that a few times. Ringwalks these days just don’t hit the mark.

I'm leaning towards Donovan as well, but difficult to say he looks world class based on the opposition he has fought.

You have to be looking good against that level if you have any ambitions beyond British

I think Donovan wins today. I will be looking to see if he's made any progress on his defense for straight rights though. If he gets caught with a lot of those still, it may not be his downfall today, but it will be in the near future if Paddy doesn't fix that gap in his defense.

Donovan has got the flair and seemingly a very good engine. Crocker brings the pressure and is pretty well battle hardened.

This one can’t fail can it.

Fair play to short fuse. He's taken some stick and still trying to the last. Respect to the fuse

The card itself does little to get the juices flowing, the usual effort to get the home boys a win, and a couple of local boys for the main event with padded records.

However, bet the atmosphere there will be great

Lol DAZN’s Jamie Ward looking very much like Paddy Donovan’s less handsome brother in that quick interview.
