He'll be another hypejob at heavyweight like Anderson was, they'll feed him some cans then as soon as he fights a half decent heavy, he'll be kayoed.
I don't think so. Of course I'm no foreteller but I never did believe the Anderson hype. But YES, he is hittable. But he also is an amazing talent, unlike Anderson.

all this talk about HW is frankly nonsense .
Ok so he is a top CW but still has a long way to go and develop within his weight category .
Its not a given he can beat Zurdo !
and is he really big enough to grow into HW ????
IMHO not really
He is big enough. Good cruisers become good heavyweights.
He was fighting at 91 kg (200lb) when he was 16 or 17…
Jai is probably already 215lb and cutting some water… at 220lb, still fast and agressive no weight cut is a problem for everyone at heavy. Not saying he will nessasary be the best… but he will be a player at heavy if he chooses too.
Being Samoan I think the only real risk is if when he goes to heavyweight he over cooks it and ends up 240lb + and loses his mobility and speed.

No one stay at cruiser , unite the division then hang around taking on all comers , a move up reesults in defeat he's not big enough and takes too many punches , Maybe if push came to shove , take on Huni he's beatable , but the up comers , Moses , Tearfmoana whatever his name is , beats him , the Parkers and other top guys beat him easy .
Unify then wait for the gigantic match and BIG money when Bivol or couple of the other big names step up , step up , the Shiek fella said he'd like to put on Jai and Beteirbiev , thats where the money is and the chance to keep the titles , ,
He;s so easy to hit at heavy even Chisora would have a chance

He shouldn't even be moving up until he fights some of the other Cruiser champions like Ramirez and Jack.

I like Opetaia vs Beterbiev if Artur wins again. Definitely.

Sadist , its either Chisora , lands a couple on the smaller guy and breaks his jaw again , or the younger faster hard punching Jai , lands enough to scramble Chisoras brains ,, either way i suppose you should order the popcorn , its fireworks while it lasts

He's beat a great if aging champ in Breidis twice . . .who is 20s times better than anyone Anderson beat.

Jai has no trouble making cruiserweight. I would like to see him consolidate his career at cruiserweight before moving to heavyweight.

He did say his goal is to unify at CW.
What’s the rush.
Let him marinate himself.

Yeah he looks small for a cruiser esp compared to Jordan Thompson and David Nyika, although he took care of them in style! (Did get hurt by Nyika though…..was very wild that night though)

If that's the case, Turki should really be looking at Opetaia vs Ramirez because it is a big and high level fight. Winner unifies with WBC. Then Ramirez vs Opetaia 2. Unification can be done in 12 months with good fights. There isn't really any reason why this shouldn't or can't be done quite quickly. There isn't a need for the Thompson, Nyikas, Masseys and Zorros of the world.

Opetaia would be stupid to move up against the giant slobs of the current heavyweight division before he cleans out the cruiserweight class and unifies the world title. There are probably young guys in the weight class below his who will be moving up in the next few years as challengers. There's plenty of money to be made without messing with the blubberweights.
'nuff said.
