Early for his fans on the west coast. It's at the smaller arena, too.

Fans Rip Garcia-Romero And Canelo-Scull PPV Prices – ‘Imagine Paying’
Boxing fans have ripped the Ryan Garcia vs. Rolly Romero and Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull PPVs prices.
Boxing fans will see the two cards take place in May, starting with Ryan Garcia vs. Rolando Romero on May 2nd. It is the first time that Garcia will enter the ring following his boxing ban that emerged after he beat Devin Haney. Garcia’s majority decision win became a no-contest after he failed VADA tests for Ostarine. Ryan denied taking any substances, but the New York State Athletic Commission did not see it that way, setting the narrative for a bigger Haney rematch.
Haney also boxes on the same card as Ryan and Romero against Jose Ramirez. The fight will take place at 147 as questions remain over Haney’s mindset. He was dropped three times in the Garcia fight, with his defensive skills exposed. It remains to be seen if Haney can mentally recover, especially since Ramirez is known for fighting on the front foot. Teofimo Lopez also appears on the card against Arnold Barboza Jr. He will defend his WBO Junior Welterweight Title after beating Steve Claggett in his last bout.
PPV Prices
Canelo Alvarez will box in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the following day. He faces William Scull, knowing that a win makes him the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion for the second time. In chief support, Jaime Munguia will box Bruno Surace in a rematch after having been stopped in their first fight. While the cards have big names, boxing fans were not happy with the price. The two cards are priced at $59.99 each, or $89.99 for both fights in a bundle. Boxing fans were unhappy since the Saudis have previously said they wanted a PPV price near $20.

Re: Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. William Scull | PPV - 3 May 2025
Has anyone got any info on Scull?
I've been aware of his name for a couple of years but there's no names on his record other than the bloke he beat for the vacant title, and even he just seems steady rather than spectacular.
Sculls amateur record on Boxrec is 0-1. Obviously I know there's a lot more to it than that but it does nod towards no significant amateur wins.
I suppose he must have skills & some whiskers but I see people predicting a kayo for Canelo by round 2. But Alvarez hasn't stopped anyone since his lost to Bivol (Dmitrii ruined him
).
So, what do those who've actually seen Scull fight think?
Thanks

Apparently Conor Benn made him quit according to Nigel.
Re: Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. William Scull | PPV - 3 May 2025
I saw that & Nigel reminded me of the old East London market stall holders from when I was a kid telling you that the pleather jacket you're buying is real "As god is MY witness" (places hand on heart)

RIAKPORHE ADDED TO CANELO-SCULL CARD, WANTS TO 'DOMINATE' AT HEAVYWEIGHT
Richard Riakporhe will make his heavyweight debut on the Fatal Fury event headlined by Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez’s Riyadh debut on Saturday night, live on DAZN PPV.
Mexican icon Canelo, who is the Ring Magazine champion, puts his WBC, WBO and WBA belts on the line against undefeated IBF champion William Scull in a super-middleweight undisputed clash at the ANB Arena.
And in a late addition to the card, 17-1 (13) Riakporhe will now fight in an eight-rounder in his first outing at heavyweight.
The 35-year-old was supposed to take on Lawrence Okolie in Manchester on April 5 but the fight was cancelled after his London rival withdrew through injury.
Riakporhe has not boxed since his defeat to Chris Billam-Smith at Selhurst Park on June 15 last year, which proved to be his final fight at the 200lb cruiserweight limit.
Now he will kick off his assault on the heavyweight division in Riyadh.
“You can’t get bigger than this show,” he told The Ring at Monday’s grand arrivals at BLVD City.
“My goals in the new division are just to dominate. I feel like when people start to see my style and how I move at the new weight they will understand how big of a threat I am.
“I’ve been sparring Martin Bakole and it’s amazing, I’m starting to understand this game and what it takes to make it in the heavyweight division.
“I’m really excited, it’s an exciting division. This move has been something I’ve always planned ever since I was British cruiserweight champion back in 2019.
“I want to make some noise and cause a ruckus. It all starts on Saturday and I’d like to thank His Excellency for the opportunity to do it on an event like this.”

Can't believe this is ppv in the uk. Dire missable fights that I'd watch out of obligation if they were part of the subscription but forking out more? Forget it.
