Oh, no. Let's hope he fights Parker, but doesn't seem that likely anymore.

They can only back Parker that’s clear… I more mean that they have ordered it agressivly with time limits when they know frank and turki wanna have Usyk vs DDD…

I’m applauding that they stuck to there guns, ibf are good for it but often wba wbc and wbo can be cowards in these situations, so im glad wbo is not.

Usyk should be wary of Dubois, as he is a powerful force .

as long as it's not a powerful force in the goolies again, Usyk has it under control and will bong that bald bonce into submission once again

I couldn't count all the low blows, because the elbows and headbutts were distracting me.

Dubois is the dirtiest heavyweight in the ring at the top level in a while

Only another reunification of the belts would add anything significant to Usyk's resume right now.

If Fury v Joshua was to happen then a fight with the winner of that would make the most financial sense.

By handing out boxing lessons to Fury, Joshua, and Dubois, Usyk's effectively cleaned out the HW division.

A quite incredible achievement, and one that hardly anyone could have predicted 4 years ago when his only real achievement at HW was a decision win against Chisora.
He hasn't cleared out the division yet .
He has cleared out the very top tier but hasn't -apart from Dubois - touched the second tier.
The division is cleared after Kayabel and Parker. These Saudi backed fights have allowed a clear second tier to emerge from the chaos of guys refusing to fight each other.
Emerging from that are Dubois, Kayabel and Parker.
Fading from that have been Whyte, Joyce,Wilder, Zhang, and Joshua. And maybe we count Fury as retired.

Unfortunately, this is one of the problems of trying to assert yourself as 'unanimous', you will never please everyone.

Nor can you completely wipe out all of your rivals.

As far as seasoned boxing fans are concerned, there's still Parker, Kabayel and possibly soon Itauma to reckon with.

However, as far as ticket sales go, this has to be, after what happened in Joshua v Dubois, the biggest fight available for Usyk right now.

AJ's demolishing of Ngannou sent shock waves around the world of combat sports and the unexpected result against Dubois was almost as spectacular.

Reputations rose and fell during those 12 rounds.

There's a lot of people out there who seem to believe in Daniel Dubois and that fight confirmed those beliefs in their eyes. It also reinforced their opinion that he had been cheated in the Usyk fight. Don Charles clearly isn't the only one who sees the world in their own jaundiced way.

Let's not also forget that DDD's still only 27. A very dangerous age for a HW to be.

This is definitely the right fight for Usyk right now, anything else he would be called out for ducking.
As for Dubois, he will see this as another golden chance to get his hands on all of the belts.

Whether he deserves this chance, the question won't matter, it never does when large sums of money are concerned in boxing.

We all know that the long overdue Fury v Joshua has a certain inevitability about it, and no doubt the winner of that one will want to face Usyk again for the privilege of losing 3 times to the greatest HW since Mike Tyson.

Once again, it will be difficult for Usyk to say no. It's virtually impossible to argue against lumps of money that big.

Dubois beating Joshua was much more of a big deal than the latter knocking out Ngannou.
And why are you using Mike Tyson as some yardstick of greatest heavyweights when there have been significantly greater heavyweights since him.

Who do you rate as significantly better?

Wouldn't say significantly, but we've had top level heavyweights.

Lewis, Klits, that level

Ever since Fat Andy beat Joshua, beating him has lost a lot of value.

So many of the top HWs are now looking towards an exit strategy, hopefully with enough security money stuffed away from the preying fingers of the tax collectors.

Dubois v Usyk will leave a vacuum in the division if Usyk decides to call it quits afterwards.

I'm still hoping for Fury v Joshua and the winner having one more try against Usyk.

But after that, what?

At the least it would still leave DDD in a great position to collect the discarded belts, but who would he fight?

Timing is everything, and these next few years could be perfect for a new HW star to emerge.

For an ambitious amateur this is probably the best time to turn pro in ages and ages.

Pretty soon there's going to be plenty of fading big names to build fresh reputations on.

Unless of course, these fading big names insist on fighting only each other and we keep on paying to watch them do it.
