Re: Queensberry vs. Matchroom II | 5v5 Event - 2026
Looks like he’s just signing new boxers just to compete in this.
Like when he signed Wilder on a one-fight deal just so he has a decent HW to compete against QP.

This would be a great event. Please let it happen. Solid 50-50s is all we need.

Re: Queensberry vs. Matchroom II | 7v7 Event - 2026
Callum Smith-Joshua Buatsi II among 15 fights in play for rerun of Queensberry vs. Matchroom
Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn has shed some light on more potential contests that could take place in a '5v5' with allegedly’s Queensberry Promotions.
The two promotional outfits pitted five of their best fighters against one another back in 2024 with Warren walking out a clear winner, five-zip. There has been talk about running it back ever since.
Two years on it looks as though we will finally get to see it with talk of the same format returning or even 7v7 to take place this winter.
“Certainly, there have been discussions with myself and George Warren about that card; about a string of fights really,” Hearn confirmed to Boxing Scene. “Seven or eight fights that have potential between Queensberry and Matchroom. We just want to run it back. I mean, the event last time, although the scoreboard wasn't great [for Matchroom], to watch it was incredible, and when we look now at the potential matchups I think it's an opportunity to do an even better night than we did last time."
Hearn confirmed that a rematch between WBO interim light heavyweight titleholder Callum Smith and Joshua Buatsi could top the card should Smith be promoted to full champion. He also listed other potential bouts that could feature.
“Denzel Bentley against George Liddard,” Hearn said. “Georgio Visioli against Louie O’Doherty. Lyndon Arthur against Ben Whittaker. Sam Noakes against Joe Cordina – obviously he's fighting Abdullah Mason. Johnny Fisher against Dillian Whyte. I mean it's never ending. There are literally 15 that we've outlined. So yeah lots to pick from.”

Re: Queensberry vs. Matchroom II | 7v7 Event - 2026
Brad Pauls open to 5x5 berth, Denzel Bentley rematch, but Bradley Goldsmith comes first
Middleweight contender Brad Pauls has thrown his name in the hat should his promoter, Queensberry, again pit some of their finest fighters against those of Matchroom.
First, he must defeat Bradley Goldsmith at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Saturday.
Pauls is looking to kick on from his March underdog victory over previously-undefeated Shakiel Thompson, whom he stopped in nine rounds.
“Yeah, spoiled loads of plans,” Pauls smiled while in conversation with Boxing Scene. “There was meant to be other big fights happening, but I’ve spoiled those as well, and sort of took his place, I suppose.”
Pauls, 33, is now ranked No. 4 by the IBF and No. 12 by the IBF.
“It’s all calculated risks. I knew not everyone was queuing up to fight Shakiel at the time, and the gain from beating Shakiel I knew would set me up for something massive. Obviously, he’s recently signed [with Queensberry] and he had a really good belt and a really good ranking. So that’s what appeals, but that’s boxing. It’s snakes and ladders, and you put the risk out there and then it can throw you up into bigger and better fights.”
Pauls, 21-2-1 (12 KOs), leapt over Thompson with his victory, and having lost a decision to WBO interim champion Denzel Bentley 18 months ago, the Cornwall man is keen to run that one back even if the former rivals have become friends.
“It's funny actually, because he’s been helping me out with sparring because we live near each other, and he can switch southpaw, he’s quite decent southpaw,” Pauls said.
“He’s my pal and he was like, ‘Listen, we both keep winning, they’re going to want us to fight each other.’
“And I was like, ‘Yeah.’
“And he was, ‘Mate, it’s nothing personal. We’re going to fight each other again.’
“So he’s got a world title and I’m fourth with the WBO. And then, obviously, if I get the IBF, Queensberry would love us to unify. Another win or two for me and then it’ll be rematch, I think.”
But the domestic middleweight scene is increasingly lively and, with that in mind, Pauls is keen to represent allegedly’s Queensberry and has volunteered to take a middleweight berth against Matchroom’s finest.
And he has already sparred the Matchroom duo of George Liddard and Jimmy Sains, who could shape up as his opposite number.
“Love it. Absolutely. I’d love to represent and do it again,” he said, referring back to Queensberry’s previous 5-0 rout of their counterparts.
“Queensberry, 7-0 win, I reckon [if they do it again]. I’ve sparred both of them [Liddard and Sains]. They’re both quality fighters. Lot of respect for them, but yeah, it would be good. They’re all good fights, especially Liddard [British and Commonwealth champion], I know that would gel for a really, really good fight.”
While Pauls is from Newquay, Cornwall, he trains in Essex and with this fight in Southampton his fans could be forgiven for thinking they have something of a home game, even though Newquay is about 200 miles away. They are both on the South Coast, and Pauls usually has to venture to London or far further north.
But Pauls has his own connection to the city having gone to university there and having boxed as an amateur at the Golden Ring Club.
Now he fights in a stadium but if he is to unlock the fights at the top of the division, he knows he cannot afford to slip up against the 15-1 (10 KOs) Goldsmith.
“I haven’t watched a fight of his yet,” said Pauls. “I never watched the fight of Shakiel’s. I sort of just leave it to my coach and whatever he says, I listen to. But I understand it’s a very difficult fight. I don't think it’s an easy fight at all. My coach has told me it’s a very difficult fight. But they’re all difficult at this level and it’s the right sort of chance to take to get me to the next stage.”

Surely Smith vs Yarde would be better.
Has allegedly ever even promoted Buatsi?

Rafferty wants Walker in all-or-nothing clash on 7 vs. 7 bill
Jack Rafferty has thrown his name into the hat for a slot on the upcoming Queensberry vs Matchroom "7 vs 7" event.
Rafferty fights under the Queensberry promotional banner and believes that a fight between himself and a certain Matchroom welterweight more than warrants a place on the show.
"I think we all know what fight that would be. The fans are screaming for it and I think the easiest fight for Queensberry and Matchroom to make is me versus Conah Walker," Rafferty told The Ring.
"It may be a world title eliminator. I think Conah can say the same; if the money's right, we'll be fighting."
If Rafferty (27-0-1, 18 KOs) has fought his way to prominence over the past 18 months, Walker (18-3-1, 9 KOs) has been on a sensational run of form himself.
Last January, a late come-from-behind victory over the awkward Harry Scarff earned the 31-year-old the British welterweight title and set him on his current path.
He made a successful first defence against Rafferty's gym mate Liam Taylor, and his thrilling, brutal stoppage wins over Pat McCormack and Sam Eggington have made him a genuine fan favorite while moving him into the WBA's No. 3 position at 147 pounds.
Both fighters could easily continue to navigate their ways through the world rankings but the inaugural Queensberry vs Matchroom "5 vs 5" show was a resounding success and every fighter on the bill benefited from exposure and interest the card generated.
No matter which other fights and names were added to an autumn "7 vs 7" card, a Rafferty-Walker showdown would be the favorite to steal the show and catapult the winner onto a different level.
"Yeah, definitely. I think it's like getting a cap for your promoter. Stepping up to play for England is like stepping up for my promoter. The seven best Queensberry versus the seven best Matchroom. At welterweight, I think me and Conah Walker, the fans are crying for it," the 30-year-old from Shaw said.
"Conah's on his best form - the same as myself - and you see some of these major fights, they go a bit past their best. I think we are at our best. The time is now. You can’t say Conah Walker's got too many miles on the clock. There’s massive things for him and me next, why not get a clash? Put us both together and the winner takes all."
Rafferty made his name as a relentless junior welterweight with thudding power. He scored some important, impressive victories while winning the British and Commonwealth titles but getting down to 140 pounds undoubtedly took its toll and took away some of his snap.
In March, he announced himself at 147 pounds with a one-sided win over Ekow Essuman. Stepping up to welterweight allowed him to take his time, set up attacks and slowly but surely break the respected veteran down.
Should a fight with Walker not take place, Rafferty would then target a place on the Dubois-Wardley II undercard.
Whichever bill he ends up on, he believes the welterweight move ensures he will be involved in big fights and nights for the remainder of his career.
"I think I was training too hard. It sounds crazy, but I was training too hard to make a weight," he said.
"We can all make a weight, but can you perform at it? Was I showing the best at 140? I don't think so, I showed a better Jack Rafferty at 147 and still believe there's a better to come. I'll get these big fights and be ready for them."

Re: Queensberry vs. Matchroom II | 7v7 Event - 2026
As reported on @InsideRingShow, a Joe Cordina-Sam Noakes matchup is possible for later this year in the discussed Matchroom-Queensberry 7 v 7. Cordina’s legal issues prevented him from entering the U.S. to fight Abdullah Mason this past Saturday.
