He was like several other guys of his era. Had some talent, looked good in some fights and awful in others.
I remember when he was getting in title contention and was on TV twice against Ocasio. Looked mediocre in getting draw. In the rematch, stopped Ocasio in the first round.
He was lucky to get the decision against Chaplin in a lethargic performance.
Also remember when he fought Holyfield. He had not fought anyone good in several years and was almost an afterthought. He fought a very good fight until he was stopped.
Wish he would have fought more guys like Witherspoon, Thomas, Page, Tubbs etc.
He definitely had skills and crazy hand speed, but he was never that difficult to hit.

Talented fighter with blazing hands at his peak. But a bit slow on his feet and a bit of an arm puncher. Obviously the drugs did for him, but was always a good watch, even in his run to the last title shot vs Bowe.
