Would go for a yes on this occasion.

There was a dip in the legs, and the pressure was there, but hardly any of those punches were landing. It shows the benefits of being a home fighter more than anything else, but this is what you expect from Howard Foster.

That being said, Cameron could've taken a knee and he got a decent payday anyway, and Whittaker was going to cruise to a win... so, although I think the stoppage was early, it was only going to happen at some point.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to say the ropes held him up. The ropes held Fury up in the Usyk fight, he fell backwards into them and they stopped him falling over, had they not been there he would've dropped but Cameron only touched them for a split second as the ref jumped in. But could the ref have given him longer, maybe, but I think it would've just prolonged the stoppage as Whittaker was unloading on him.

Yes, definitely regarding Italy & Germany, the ol' "knock them out to get a draw" mantra. The UK seemed to have the moral high ground back then. I'd say since the nineties we are just as bad, if not worse.

It is tough. I don't ant someone to siffer long lasting injuries. On the other hand all the bets fights have guys who are close to being stopped only to come back. Fighters punching themselves out ae part of the to-and-fro. Without the seesaws in momentum then the excitment is gone.

I watched thinking Cameron is hurt but okay. He's moving to avoid shots. And Whittaker might be blowing his load too early. All that nervous energy being burned too soon.
