Good match. Would've preferred Miller but hey ho. Won't buy a ticket and travel now but if I lived within 50km or so I would be there.

also world bronze as a senior

fast hands, good engine. not a puncher and has been hurt a couple times though. fab has his weaknesses as well though.

Definitely an easier fight than Miller. Wardley to stop him is my prediction. I think Huni will be surprised how hard Fabio hits.

maybe, but i think fab's become a bit overrated. par for the course when a guys coming off a big ko. two fights ago he was level with the same clarke. he can bang but he's got plenty of holes in his game. he's not gonna just blast every fight in 1 round

wardley is a danger man for most, but i feel numerous guys have real chances to beat him too

Yh he’s a tad overrated right now.. but his performances recently have been good, for that level.

He’s on a run, standard hype for now.

It's a good fight. Two young guys at heavyweight. Wardley the KO artist and Huni with the amateur pedigree. Both undefeated and need that last step up before getting a big name and possibly an eliminator/title shot.

FABIO WARDLEY VS. JUSTIS HUNI CONFIRMED FOR JUNE 7 AFTER JARRELL MILLER PULLOUT

Fabio Wardley will now face Justis Huni On June 7 at Portman Road after Jarrell Miller pulled himself from the contest with a shoulder injury, it's been confirmed.

Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KOs) was set for a fiery encounter with American Miller, who shoved the Englishman in the face at their press conference to announce the fight last month.

Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs), however, won't be available for early June, so in steps undefeated Huni (12-0, 7 KOs), who last boxed in January, knocking out Shaun Potgieter in two rounds on the undercard of Jai Opetaia-David Nyika.

It was originally thought that Filip Hrgovic would step in to face 30-year-old Wardley, after it was reported the Croatian had verbally agreed to the bout.

But Australian Huni, who is currently signed to Matchroom Boxing, will take the biggest step up of his career yet to face knockout artist Wardley.

Wardley, The Ring's No. 9 heavyweight, hasn't fought since a first-round knockout over Frazer Clarke, which took place on the first Artur Beterbiev-Dmitry Bivol card in October.

Wardley vs. Huni will be for the vacant WBA 'interim' heavyweight title.

Huni is currently ranked No. 1 with the WBO and No. 7 with the IBF, while Wardley is No. 1 with the WBA and No. 3 with the WBO.

The bout is Wardley's first stadium headliner, and it will take place at the home of his beloved Ipswich Town Football Club.

Be tough for Huni to get a decision though

And if Foster is reffing it might be a very early night

Oh, I didn’t recognise the name, but I’ve just looked him up and it clicked I’ve seen him fight a couple of times. A live one for Fabio obviously. Ambitious replacement.

Yes remember seeing him get hurt and thinking it could be game over here - but he came back well…so maybe that’s what they’re thinking when matching Fabio with this guy - could be a good one

I really don’t like huni taking this short notice. Just don’t see why.

He can get a few weeks sparing in, but 5 weeks isn’t long enough to get fit 12 round and sparr.

I see huni as a much much better boxer than wardly, butttt, he has question marks on his chin and power.

Wardly is dollar store wilder. And I think wilders proved that can win you plenty of fights, but I expect huni to outbox him if he is fit until huni either gets stopped or wins a decision.

Was huni not first in line for a vacant shot at Parker if Usyk didn’t/dosent fight Parker? Why on earth would he gamble that late notice….

Shades of bakole (Mabey he got the crazy money and a comeback fight gareenteed if he loses too)…
