I think Liston had arrived in Philadelphia as early as 1958 (to train)
so he would have had plenty of time to get to know the women around there.

I have no idea if he was his son or not but he appears to have been involved in book signings, media stuff and associated travel to these boxing events, maybe fees paid for his time, a certain type of celebrity status and potentially other doors opened due to his family link. So some would say it was a good gig for him and good luck to him if true. Likewise a good gig if he wasn’t his son. You would kind of assume some sort of proof was given but maybe not as unless he has a DNA test it’s all circumstantial. There are plenty of doppelgängers out there, look at actor Will Ferrell and Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, no relation but they look like twins so resembling someone's look or build means nothing. Some peoples children don’t look like anything like them yet they may look more like another family member, family genetics can be a funny thing. What’s to say he wasn’t the child of one of Sonny’s many brothers or sisters?

I think the dude had exuded a certain amount of 'Shango" like Sonny Liston did too there at the podium.
(also his vocal inflections sound a lot like Sonny Liston's voice too-that is probably due to genetics)

Robinson, Monzon and Turpin were some of my boxing heroes until I read about them beating women. Lost all respect for them as men.
