Being ignorant of BKB , what's the approach the fighters use , meaning difference to gloved boxing is it more go for it and not trying to box too much?
Dirty boxing they call it. Holding and hitting. They're very good at it. I only realised tonight that it's legal, I've seen bkb guys in the gym practicing it but thought it was illegal.
I know he’s 38 and not boxed professionally for 7 years but you kind of assume a former fringe world level pro boxer and decorated amateur would be a force in BKB, just goes to show if you are caught flush anyone can be knocked out.
Its so different though, these lads just grab you behind head and go to work, uppercut after uppercut. Just overwhelms them.

Ryan Ashton (former Midlands area champ I think) also debuted on this show. Looked in much better condition than Gavin or Cox, still knocked out in 3rd.

Yeah. You just think in a street fight a decent pro boxer would be handy, BKB isn’t even a street fight and they still struggle.

I think a bit of snobbery is involved, too. They just can't comprehend that these guys might beat them. I find it hard to take in and I'm just a fan.

So being a decent boxer doesn’t necessarily mean you can fight outside the boxing world which goes against what I would instinctively think.

Well, the average guy in the street isn't a bkb fighter.

Plenty of top boxers and MMA strikers who trained specifically for BK would be better than the current crop of champions. Lads who have been away from the gym for years and not training specifically will, as has been shown, get hammered.
I've been a national champion in sport and by the time I was 40, there will have been literally tens of thousands of people better than me.
