I really don't know, I guess he would get a premium, but these fighters are getting like 5k max I reckon

This isn't healthy for Degale on any level, but it's upto him.

Is he and the likes of Malignaggi strapped for cash? Or are they just missing the limelight?

How does one prepare for a bare knuckle bout?

Surely bare knuckle sparring would lead to loads of cuts and bruises etc.

I know it's a growing sport, but seems more dangerous than boxing to me.

I hope it goes well for DeGale. He gave a lot to boxing. A very brave, skilful and tough fighter in his pomp.

You would spar with gloves

I doubt MMA fighters spar with their little mitts

But then that sort of sparring is very different from the actual fight. You wouldn't have the glove to catch certain shots etc.

I felt sorry for Frankie Gavin.

Obviously it's more difficult to replicate the fight, even for boxers there is a big difference between 8 and 14 ounce gloves.
But you do what you can!
I reckon the better fighters would be focusing more on the outside rather than inside work as cuts and hand damage are just as likely as getting knocked out!

I'm sure Sokowaski is on the same bill. He's 3-0 in the BK fighting.

He never had any discipline and again his body looked soft and pudgy. He was clobbered with rough house punches and complaining about holding and hitting but the point of bare knuckle is to make it so the rules are as close to a street fight as possible, within reason.

And looks loads different off the gear. Not a dig but he barely looks like the same person. I like Sokolowski, doing a shift driving a lorry then beating Don Charles son and getting robbed vs Adeleye

The Gavin fight looked like a dive to me, and he looked like he had not trained.

I did expect Jamie Cox to win but he was as bad

Would Degale have been as good at fighting if his last name was pronounced in a more British way, like Beagle?

I think "externally" in regard to broken bones and cuts its worse, but long term effects like cte and concussions less so
