The vote is over.

Most votes were for Wardley to move up to 3rd, and not 2nd.. So Parker for 4th place based on votes, so I bumped Kabayel up to 2nd. We ok with that?

Given Wallin isn't ranked (and isn't particularly close), it would be a bit weird for Gassiev to be even if it was 2 years ago. You could do Gassiev, Joshua, TKV and Hunter in one group before the end of the year?

Could we automatically re-enter AJ after Paul fight (as long as he wins), he only dropped out due to inactivity.

I think given that his inactivity against reputable opponents will still be relevant so it think it would be presumptuous to think he might re-enter at the same ranking he was before. It will be be over 2 years since his win over Wallin which his only relevant win in quite some time now. I think he will likely re-enter but it would need to be in the right place.

We have one vacant spot and 3 fighters that will be a year of no fights.
That will make 4 vacant spots in another 6 weeks.

The division is a huge waste of time anymore

Chisora Feb 8th
Sanchez Feb 22nd
Zhang Feb 22nd
That will make 12 month inactive

No idea who would fill the spots. The next vacancies are in May and at the rate we are going we might add more

I'm pretty sure we had a few votes for the vacant spots. Realistically, we'd have to give 10 options of active heavyweights and most votes go in. The difficulty will be finding 10 active heavyweights that are somewhat worthy. Vianello, Gassiev, Makhmudov, Okolie, Riakporhe, Anderson, Jalolov, Joyce, Xhoxhaj, Pero, Wallin, Miller. I think most of those would be the names but it's tough trying to say which of them has done the most over the past few years.

I'd be surprised if there's any movement.

The Itauma and Miller fights might be the only scheduled ones that people change their votes on but even then it could be unlikely. The boxers dropped due to inactivity being replaced in a couple of months will be a way more significant vote.

Efe Ajagba is fighting Charles Martin on February 14, and there's a possibility of Sanchez-Torrez on February 21st.

Ajagba is no longer with Top Rank, he's with Zuffa Boxing, as is Charles Martin.

Maybe we could just vote to fill the vacant #15 spot for now.

I think Gassiev, Okolie, Vianello, and Makhmudov have all been active last year and picked up some wins on the fringe.

IBF have rescheduled purse bids for Sanchez-Torrez. They’re getting tireless. Just let it go to bids I say

Yes, this has gone on for too long. Top Rank having no TV contract may have something to do with the delays.

Yes! There is very little activity in the division and numerous fighters are ready to be moved out of the ratings.

I think that's more of the problem. We will need to fill the vacant spots (two including Zhang) more than needing to move Efe much. Can't see Efe moving more than one place up once all the inactive guys are removed but we could vote on that as well. I suppose Fury can come back in or do we wait until after he's fought Makhmudov but even then, he hasn't had a win over a boxer in over 3 years?
