No way Azim beats Richardson Hitchins.

No, but it's his 10th fight in 15 months and he's relatively young, so they don't need to rush him yet.

Obviously it'd be good to see him step up a few levels this year, but I don't see anything wrong with this as part of his journey. Crighton has operated at a good level, even if he has lost to pretty much all the better guys he's faced.

🥊 AZIM/LEMOS POSTPONED!

@boxxer has announced the IBF Super-Lightweight eliminator between Adam Azim and Gustavo Lemos is postponed after both suffer injuries‼️

📈 @ringmagazine has reported that Fran Hennessy vs. Ellie Bouttell will move to the main event

This BBC run is a car crash beyond anything anyone could possibly have envisaged.

First event - postponed, then house fighter loses
Second event - postponed, then house fighter loses
Third event - postponed, house fighter injured

That's three of the contracted four events which have been a disaster in some way.

You couldn't make it up. I'm actually starting to feel for the guy.

Yeah really unfortunate - shame as they got an opportunity to make "British Championship Boxing" a real TV brand - showing a Brit title with an Area/English/Celtic undercard and the odd Euro shot thrown in.

That would be fantastic for tv, the sport, the fighters, the fans...

I remember the ticket map recently was showing lots of availability even with a reduced capacity, so I assume ticket sales have been abysmal.

It's been a great run for Fran Hennessy though. She's really copped the lion's share of exposure during this bbc run, will really bump up the value of her MVP contract when she moves on.

At least it doesn't clash with DAZN show , BBC2 Saturday night at 730pm is a perfect spot for someone to impress and Azim can't do that now

ADAM AZIM-GUSTAVO DANIEL LEMOS OFF AFTER BOTH MEN SUFFER INJURY

Adam Azim's crucial world title eliminator against Gustavo Daniel Lemos is off, The Ring has learned.

The pair were set to clash for the No. 2 spot in the IBF junior welterweight rankings at London's Copper Box Arena this Saturday in the main event of the Boxxer show live on BBC Two.

But the plan unravelled this month after both fighters sustained hand injuries which will prevent them from boxing on January 31.

First it was Argentina's Lemos (30-2, 20 KOs) who was forced to withdraw after suffering the injury during training camp. But in a bid to ensure Azim could still box, the promoters worked hard on securing a viable replacement.

It is understood New Jersey's Nahir Albright (17-2, 7 KOs), who has famously boxed both Keyshawn and Kelvin Davis, was drafted in to fight but now that has been cancelled too.

During his final spar of training camp, The Ring's No. 8 rated 140-pounder Azim injured his hand too, meaning neither of the original main event fighters would be available. However, there is still hope that the fight between Azim and Lemos will take place later this year.

Both men will need time to heal first while Azim, a devout Muslim, will need to organise a new training camp during the holy month of Ramadan, which runs from February 28 until March 29. There is hope that the fight could take place in April or May.

It is more bad news for the BBC, who also had to deal with a late postponement to the original date for Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV, which was the very first event of their new deal with Boxxer.

They had been initially set to clash for the vacant British heavyweight title on October 25 but a rib injury to TKV meant they had to wait until November 29 to eventually get it on.

The Ring understands that Saturday’s show, which was due to be aired on BBC Two, might still take place, albeit on a different channel.

The chief support bout between undefeated bantamweights Francesca Hennessy (7-0, 1 KO) and Ellie Bouttell (7-0-1, 2 KOs) over 10 two-minute rounds is expected to be elevated to the main event slot.

So won't be on BBC 2, Boxxer can't carry on like this as the BBC contract will be over before it's got properly started

Fran Hennessy seems a real nice lady but she can’t be headlining on BBc2.

It shows which main broadcasters tend not to get along with boxing. A scheduling nightmare with fights, shows falling through and the potential of running late.

What a disaster !

At least Simpson v Williamson was fairly entertaining, watching a powder-puff punching main event replacement is an epic fail.

They'll probably do more harm pushing ahead with the TV date than rescheduling and waiting until Azim & Lemos are ready to go again.

The big problem with having such a small stable.

Apparently Fisher has accepted the TKV fight, dunno who will promote that.

Will Asim stay?

Fisher is fighting on BBC. Cashing him out. He’ll lose, then they get him a win vs a journeyman then feed him to Dave Allen for the Teemu Trilogy.

How is it cashing him out if the BBC pay pennies? Surely it makes sense for TKV to take an away trip to make a few quid.

Exposure on the BBC.

Looking at how shaky Fisher was in his last fight they're probably thinking it's best to make their now now rather than waiting for him to get whacked by a non-entity.

TKV isn't great, and tough to find an easy defence at Brit level, Fisher could win

If Shalom has hopes for the Albanian heavy on the card, probably a ticket seller, then he probably shouldn't have matched him with Will Howe.
