Delighted for Arbuckle, he's from the outskirts of where I live, you've gotta feel for Leivars though, he was well in the fight, I had him 3-1 up, it was a cracking start, both got right to work and gave and took a fair few shots, Leivars with just a bit more snap and volume imo, Arbuckle picked some nice shots himself though, switched constantly and had a really good 3rd I thought, he did look tired in the 4th I noticed, both men put a lot of work in early, Leivars eye just closed , gotta be a rematch

Nice shot to the middle of the back in the finishing combo.

Looks pretty special does RBS.
Be interesting to see how he fares up the levels.

Punch perfect from Barney-Smith, was tattooing McIntosh with the back left hand in the 1st, just nailing him repeatedly, 2nd round, creased him with a left to the body then another dropped him, McIntosh dragged himself up only to get decked again from a right across the stomach, how McIntosh got up I'll never know, he'd have been better of staying down mind, Barney-Smith battered him down for the finish

I love RBS, those body shots man

This is an interesting matchup. Aston Brown vs Sam Gilley. I favor Gilley here due to his greater discipline, and more consistent career.

I feel a guy like Brown who apparently pissed away his 20's, then got clean, and decided he wants to give it a go again in his mid 30's is only gonna go so far. He may go further than this, but not much further, and maybe not even any further. Gilley might be the stop sign.

And in matchups like this, the more naturally talented guy often has the edge early on, but the harder working man tends to take over as it goes. We shall see.

Well Brown really didn't even have the edge early here did he? I don't think this is gonna work out for him.

1-0 Gilley

Let this be a lesson kids. If you're gonna Box for a living don't f*ck off for 10 years before you give it a go.

Gilley's greater experience, and harder work has turned him into the more talented of the 2. He has every advantage in this matchup now.

Brown has only his heart to keep him in this.

2-0 Gilley

Yeah that kid is something. John Joe Carrigan looks like a talented kid on the rise too. 2 of the more exciting upcoming prospects. Everyone always likes the guys that get the stoppages at the early level because that's an indication that they've really got it. They're not just another boxer.

I hope they keep these kids very active over the next few years, and we get to see a lot of their development.

I feel bad for Brown, but this is what I expected. When you see a guy has only had 9 bouts in 11 years, whatever the reason, he's not serious about his career, and you don't half ass Boxing because this is what you get when you do.

A little, but it felt like the writing was on the wall. Brown hadn't won a round, and was a step behind in every exchange. It isn't gonna get better when he's wobbling around barely hanging on.

Nice win for the magic man and better than the win was the respect shown by both.

Seems like 2 good guys and I don't think I've seen Gilley in a bad fight throughout his career.
