Seems like a bit of a leap in levels. Vianello performed solidly enough against Ajagba and Makhmudov. I have not seen anything of Moses Jolly, but as others asked, is this a realistic step up for him?
I'm not sure too much can be read into Vianello's performance against Torrez Jr. who is a smaller heavy at 6'2" and picked up Olympic Silver.

Either way, good luck to him!

Jolly so far seems to be deploying a hands low, high output “I’m the boss” sort of approach. Vianello can be pretty aggressive himself, certainly was in his last fight,

The Brit looks to be up against it but the first round should definitely be interesting to watch.

Bit disappointing this is only set to be an 8 rounder.

I personally don’t think it will go anywhere near 8 rounds.

On the activity subject. The UK’s novice heavyweights really do have the most pathetic level of activity. Unusual if you see someone not at area title level yet fighting more than 4 times a year.

A big problem is journeymen Heavy & Cruises are that expensive, some cost 3 k a fight and that’s with notice .

There will have to come a reckoning regarding purses soon. The division has been artificially propped up with Saudi money and not by the fans- who have been dwindling in number for ages.

I think he featured in the Sweet Fighting Man book. He was very game outside the ring too, from what I remember.

Definitely wouldn't have wanted to see him in a dark alley. Probably the nicest guy you could meet but had a pretty intimidating look. The red hair added to it

As for Moses Jolly, I took a look at him and he is winging a lot of punches in with a porous looking defence to say the least. I'll be surprised if Vianello doesn't do him tonight inside the distance.

Quite an embarrassing cherry pick tbh. He's lost to Ajagba, who would be a worthwhile opponent, and Torrez who just got iced by Sanchez. He's also ranked down at 14 by the WBC, below a few more worthy contenders. Hate that his career doesn't match his skillset.
