Michael Zerafa stops Alejandro Ortiz in eight rounds
Michael Zerafa (35-5, 23 KOs) defeats Alejandro Ortiz (26-2, 25 KOs) by TKO at middleweight. The fight was stopped before the start of the ninth round.
On his way to victory, Zerafa dropped Ortiz with a series of punches in the eighth round. Ortiz managed to get back to his feet and finish the round, but was unable to continue.

I’m guessing he’s not very good, if they’re putting him in with fat palookas like that guy who just showed up, threw one slow punch before heroically sinking to the canvas like a sack of spuds. Thanks very much, can I have my 10,000 mile return ticket now please?

Savage offered nothing but Teremoana still looked good, was using the jab to set up the right hand from the start, pinging Savage's head back clean, sure enough in the 2nd it was that what put Savage away, there's a lot to like about Teremoana but he needs a proper challenge

I enjoyed that card and it was free. Congratulations to Matchroom for the camera work and production. The fights were reasonable for a free card. The best thing was the focus on the corners and the clear sounds of the advice being given to the fighters and their responses. The commentators were high level fighters giving honest opinions.
I bought a Paramount subscription and mostly don't watch it. They focus on shallow celebrity style comments from people like Max Kellerman frothing out the party line. If you try to watch replays they have cut out the time between rounds completely. I assume that's what American audiences want.
Bit like Savage really. All talk and no humility, then get hits hard by a better fighter and starts panicking and looking for the exit. All fantasy no dog.

you must be drained of decent fights in aus if you think those were quality fights for a free card. it was a bunch of mismatches with a pretty much clean sweep in rounds from the house fighters. uncompetitive punch bags. the main event was just yet another knockover job vs a blubbery no hoper who showed nothing

I mean I enjoyed the Bowen fight for what it was. It was mostly one sided, but still competitive.

A 28-year-old Olympian, 12 fights in. He looks solid, but they need to step up his opposition. Flights to Aus can't have cut that much from the opponent budget
I enjoyed the post-fight performance more

Yeah - Nah I didn't say they were quality fights. You put the word quality in to suit your narrative. I said they were reasonable because they were free. Yes the American was a blubbery, mouthy no hoper, and the Chinese opponent was limited but had heaps of heart. I am not surprised but make of that what you will.
The reason I have commented on so many of Teremoana's fights is because his attributes as a heavyweight are obvious. I don't actually have to see him in a close fight to know how good he is, but I stick by my past comments. They are bringing him on too slowly and he desperately needs better opposition.
Teremoana fight I would like to see most, Teremoana v Jalolov rematch. IMO under pro rules it wouldn't go six rounds.
