His profile and ability to sell tickets.
Which isn't really what Zuffa want is it..? :maybe:
Exactly, why wouldn't they?
His whole family works hard to get bums on seats, you sign on Johnny, you get it all.
Bargain.
I agree NOW it's in UK with fans, but I actually meant the opposite.
I thought Bosh! was a rubbish signing for Zuffa's 'Covid-like' US arena.

Factor in as well that it is also a power move against Matchroom by taking a fighter so close to home and showing Zuffa is an active threat to Matchroom fighters and there business. Eddie must be concerned about what Boots will do long term promotionally.

Ahh, I got ya :TU:
Poor Eddie is running out of heavies.
Antchinny Joshua is really the only big name.

If Joshua is really Matchroom's only remaining flagship heavyweight, who do you think Eddie tries to target next to replenish the division before Zuffa grabs more UK talent?

I think he has lost the race, Fwank has it sewn up. I'll wait until the end of the commonwealth games and see if he signs anyone, but matchroom are seemingly on the slide. It's hard to see who is even relevant now because no one is fighting.
There are a ton of guys in their mid to late 30's and beyond, who knows what state they are in.

Damar Thomas and Matt Williams are the boys in the ams. Thomas just won gold and Williams beat Olaniyan not too long ago and he's not much older. Williams just bullies everyone, he's fascinating to watch! They look like they're in GB for a bit first, though.

It’s a weird one in as much as I’m intrigued to see just how bad the opponent will be.

Don’t Zuffa usually make quite competitive matches?
They should probably match him with the Drago guy, if he’s still around…. He’s several levels worse than Fisher

I wonder who the biggest fights that are competitive for him? Is Whyte there for the taking? A random European with a padded record? TKV? Adeleye? Clarke? Don't think there's any others where Fisher would be able to win

He only stands a chance against Whyte out of that lot now.

Whyte has to use the softest shaving brush now in case he ends up on the bathroom floor.

Yes, the Tetteh fight was the biggest sign of that.

basicaly with fishers ability if he wants big names he might beat (dont think this fight will be) he needs to be looking very very old. think : Whyte, Chisora, Wilder, Ortiz, Pulev, Joyce, Zhang?, puleve, Klitchco... (he wanted another fight didnt he?), charles martin, AJ?, Hysa, Ruiz (if he looks terrible), dave allen (if he gets on the KFC)....

The thing is why would any of these guys fight him? answer right now most probably wouldent... I think he needs a big win at the copperbox and the only one i could see doing it is whyte to justify any other names wanting to fight him...

The absolute best case scenario i can see for fisher is whyte at the copperbox, chisora at the O2, AJ retirement fight at wembely...
(now the odds of that are simular to me hitting the powerball and then putting it all on lucky number 7 in rullett and winning both.)

When picking an opponent for Fisher, you need to make it affordable. Even though his family can move tickets, we aren't taking millions here.
