The BBC often get a kick in on this site but their presentation is way beyond anything ITV could dream of which I always said. Sure we can all pick holes in any broadcast but when it's the BBC v ITV head to head there is only one winner. It's like the Guardian vs The Sun.
They misled the public relating to the importance of the contest, the whole manufactured 'week/day in the life of Khan' thing was pathetic and the absolute icing on the cake was Jim Rosenthal calling Kostya Tszyu 'KOSTAS' which I found stunning.
I know there was lots more but I was pissed when I watched the tape at 2am and can't remember. ITV have never changed in the 25 years I've been watching their sports broadcasts. The only time they get anything right is when they nab the top BBC presenters like Des Lynam and Murray Walker and they even manage to fornicate that up from time to time.
Also if you read Warrens colum in News of The World, he's constantly writing shit about BBC and there coverage after going on that we need more boxing coverage from other channels, he's a twat.
Overall I quite like BBC's coverage, Buncy makes me laugh

After weighing up all the options i am willing to admit i was wrong about the BBC, i took the piss as much as the next person but seriously there coverage was not too bad at all and will be missed. If ITV want to continue showing fights i think they should sign up Hennessy and have his guys on.

I only caught the end but the question we have to ask is - WILL IT BRING BOXING BACK TO ITV? If so dumbed down isn't too bad.
I'm pretty pissed we have a world class contender like Witter ignored and some kid a million miles from been world class getting all the glory.
What weight will Khan fight at 130 or 135? The top 135lbers would murder him. There isn't anyone that good at 130 (because there either 126lbers or poor) but Morales/MAB would box his ears off and Pacman would KO him.

Hello Graham, long time no see.
Anyway, I agree with your and Rocky Balboa's points about the former Olympians post 1976. What crap Warren comes out with, but if it get the general public watching, who cares, we cant all be boxing anoraks.
Anyway, the other bollocks Warren came out with was that this makes up for the loss to KIndealn in the Olympic Final.
Of course if fornicating doesnt.
When it really truly mattered, when a gold was up for grabs, Khan couldnt beat him.

Leonard, DLH and Tszyu were all ready to fight for world titles within a couple of years of turning Pro, cannot see Khan being ready.

I think Khan can be a good pro, not sure if he is in the class of the likes of De La Hoya and Leonard but he's certainly got potential. His style is very amateur needs a lot of work, I'd say 4 years or so to a world title would be about right. What I mean by his style being amateur is he still throws a lot of arm punches and straight shots with no pop, he can still whack occasionally remains to be seen how his power carries over into the pro game.
I think a soft touch to get him going in July then have him fighting every 6-8 weeks would be a good starting point.

The thing is. 99% of the people watching the fight will believe it because they know NOTHING about boxing!
Khan goes the same way Hatton is going and will be 99-0 then fight 1 decent person and get knocked out!

I totally disagree about this. Khan has been hurting guys even with these amatuer gloves and headguards. Remember that left hook right hand he dropped that American with? Also the single right hand he crumbled the Injin Chi clone with in the Olympic quarter finals. At the top level you rarely see knockdowns and KO's and Amir has been delivering them and at 17/18 years old. He's got very good pop imo and will be a very good puncher.
