Well Brewer has been getting a bit of work in Germany lately so who knows? I dont really know what to make of Krasniqi he seems a bit inconsistent, maybe it's a confidence thing.

I've probably always under-rated Krasniqi because he didn't seem to have the size and power to make much noise at the top. But if he's going to go around knocking out giant punchers who have never even been on the canvas before then maybe I need to rethink my position.

Toney, Brewster, Byrd and Krasniqi seem to be right up at the top... and they are certainly no giants.... just decent sized guys with good skill

What are the chances of Brewster v Krasniqi getting made? Luan has Universum behind him who can provide the kind of cash that gets US fighters over to Germany but Brewster is with Don King, who prefers his heavyweights to fight each other. Wouldn't surprise me if the WBO end up stripping Brewster in time for a failure to fight Krasniqi, Universum promote a lot of WBO fights and I'm sure they would be sympathetic to the German camp if Brewster started prevaricating, say if he had a fight with another King champion coming up. Until Lamon KO'ed Wladimir the WBO heavy title had been virtually a fixture on the Universum mantlepiece for years. Wouldn't surprise me if Krasniqi ending up fighting Wladimir for a vacant WBO title before the end of the year.

IMO Kohl and King agreed in the fight date, September 28th in Hamburg (100th Birthday of Max Schmeling) with Adamek vs Ulrich on the Undercard. Kohl was in Chicago for the Brewster fight. Brewster has to make a mandatory next vs the #1, Luan. Wladi won´t fight Luan. That scares the shit out of him, imaging that he could lose vs his former "underachieving" team mate and knowing that he lost vs Luan at the 1995 World Championships (Amateur), where Luan only lost vs legendary Felix Savon.

Maybe the performance of Luan changed Kings mind because he thought Luan is no problem for Brewster......Kohl has the power and the money to bring this fight to Germany on this historical day. It will be Brewsters biggest payday of course. he will get at least 2 Mio. $. Whitaker even got almost a milion Euros.

I didn't realise Whitaker picked up so much, that's a lot of cash for a lanky waste of time like him...i might try and wangle a fight in Germany

But you have to consider he came from absolutely nowhere to get those 3 title shots. The most undeserving heavyweight title shots I can rememeber in a long time.

Before anyone jumps all over me saying he nearly won the first two, I am not on about the fights themselves but what he'd actually done previously to get them which was fook all.

I thought Pemberton, himself at least, was stoney broke, and needed fights wherever and wherever he got them. Is he not WBC #1, and was he not due to face Lacy a few months back too?

I think he priced himself out of a Lacy left, he want a big purse for a world title fight.

Pemberton might be #1 but he is not the mandatory. The mandatory challenger is determined in a box-off between Pemberton, Lucas, Grant and Sanavia (Allthough Sanavia will fight Haussler next so Haussler might take his spot?).
