Tszyu by First Round Knockout

Everyone goes on about Tszyu’s power and rightly so, but he’s also very accurate. I have a feeling he's going to cut Hatton and although Ricky’s attitude has been nothing less than 100% professional when he has been severely cut, I can see hime having to try and force a stoppage win and can just see him being gradually taken apart in about 8 or nine rounds as Tsyzu moves back, uses angles and zeroes in with good solid shots until the referee has to step in.
However, Tsyzu’s performance against Mitchell may have flattered him somewhat. Sharmba had slowed down and I feel has always been fragile and Tsyzu, like he did against Zab Judah, was able to land a big right early.
Tszyu didn’t look all that impressive against Jesse James Leija in his fight prior to that and If Hatton can get through that right hand and force Tszyu into a fight, you never know, it could be his night. For all his prowess, I don't think Tsyzu's been given a real hard fight for a long time and remember, his style has let him down before, whereas we know Hatton can take big punches, come back from a knockdown and still come back and fight full on for 12 rounds.
Would love to see Hatton win because despite the criticism he’s been given, regarding the level of opposition he has faced, from the justified to the downright rude, I feel he’s been nothing but a good advert for boxing.

Kostya wins by ko/cuts before 5rounds. I was reading his interview on ESB and hes seen all Hattons fights, he knows Hatton will come to him, and he'll throw counters and outbox Ricky as he comes in. Ricky will leave his hands too low and pay the price. Kostya says he won't bank on the early KO as hes planning to pick Hatton off. But if he counters with big rights I can't see Ricky taking more than 5rounds if that - it could be over in the 1st
Hattons best hope is Kostyas feeling sleepy - because he claims hes doing now late night training.

I think everyone's forgetting Hatton can box a bit too – he's not as one-dimensional as people think. He showed that against Eamonn Magee.

His amateur boxing record indicates he can box. However, I don't like the Eamonn Magee analogy. Magee threw that fight if you ask me, it was Magee who changed approach more than Hatton.
He boxed smart vs Tackie though, so I do agree with your point.

Hardly anyone is giving Hatton a shot, and I think people are riding on Tszyu's defeat of mitchell a tad too much. I think Tszyu is going be surprised by hatton and I think Ricky will fight a lot smarter than we would expect.
I pick Ricky to bank the first half of the fight and pop in and out of range frustrating the hell out of tszyu for the second half.
Ricky on points, surprisingly easily.
When have you ever seen Hatton box, "pop[ing] in and out of rang frustrating the hell out of [his opponent]"? Hatton is not going to reinvent himself for this fight... if he did, it would only be to his detrament. There are no new tricks KT hasn't seen that he hasn't already found a way to beat. Hatton is going to fight his fight, KT is going to fight his. The best man will win... and than man is Kostya Tszyu. He out classes Ricky tenfold. I like the kid, but he's not ready for the likes of Tszyu.

However, it worth noting that with all this talk about power, Tzu can box a bit too. I think he can out box Hatton. For this reason, I see Hatton's ability to box as not a huge factor like it was a Magee and Tackie.

The only way I see Hatton winning is if he jumps on Tszyu and HURTS HIM EARLY. Otherwise I believe he's coming in for some punishment. I hope, if Hatton gets badly beaten, that he does not drop off the face of the earth. the kid is good for boxing and has a genuine chance against any of the other top guys in this division, excluding maybe PBF

against magee he would dart in let off a few shots and then get out before Eammon could land anything. I think tszyu will get frustrated in the sense that he wond be able to get off his shots because hattons going to be buzzing around the whole fight.
I also think hattons chin is underrated, and tszyus power is overrated. What if Kostya lands his best shot and hatton takes it?
I honestly believe this is a great chance for ricky, everybody is writing him off.
However if he beats tszyu, he must fight mayweather should he beat gatti because floyd is the next best in the division and would prove rickys worth at a younger more active champion.

Until recently I have been convinced Zoo by KO early to middle, but now I think Hatton gets a very close decision over him.
Much like Trinidad was before the Winky fight, I think Zoo is not what he was and the Mitchel fight gave a false view of what Kostya has left at this stage of his career.
A different Hatton, and a favourable decision.

Those that have followed Kostya Tzsyu's career know exactly how crafty and adaptive the champ is. I don't under rate Hatton's chin. I think he's going to take some good shots from KT (unlike Blab Judah) and continue to fight. I see this fight going a lot like the KT vs Laija fight... only I feel Laija is a better boxer than Hatton. Ricky will disapoint me greatly if he doesn't pick himself off the mat a few times before the ref stops the fight. Ricky will have his day... just not against KT.
As far as Kostya's age and boxing level go.... those still questioning KT, even after his fight with Mitchel will be scilenced after the Hatton fight.Turst me boxing fans... The KT that has dominated the Super Lightweights for the past decade is just as sharp as ever. (Go ahead and ask some of his sparring partners. lol If you don't know why I laughed after saying that... look up some of the headlines for KT over the past few weeks.)

Nope, and most aren't 20 lbs heavier, get KOed and go home early either.
