Also keen to see how Pietersen bats. There's been a lot of talk about him having to change his game for the tests but I really dont see why he cant go out there and get at the bowlers. Whas the point in having him out there dabbing the ball about we have plenty of guys who'll do that already?
Hopefully we can see a bit of excitement with Flintoff and Pietersen in together, especially if they can get the Aussies out today without them scoring too many.

True, cant help being optimistic though with a start like that I dont think anyone expected it. Gilchrist has just whacked 2 fours in succession.
The thinking being that you always bat, however its muggy and overcast and i thought hmmm, its gonna do a bit this am, wouldnt fancy batting in that. (i always think like a batsman as i open).
the ball is getitng older it wont do as much and youve got gil and katich in, expect a fight back. This is opur problem, they can turn to warne when the ball gets older, we haver errrrrrr ashley friggin giles. who is solid but unspectacular at best.
Even the Aussie tail average around 20 each!! So it wont be easy. Mind you they're normally coming in to bat with the team in a good position I bet they wont be half as confident if they're coming in with the score short of comfortable - fingers corssed!
England are 10 for no loss at tea. Dodgy 6 overs there lets hope they pick up the pace after tea I guess they were just trying to make it through the remainder of the session without losing a wicket as they didnt look to score much.
They're in real trouble here, not only losing wickets but not scoring either. Before Vaughan was bowled he had several opportunities to have a go at deliveries outside off stump but he just let them go. The difference being the Aussies were hammering those balls for 4.
