How can these people use the invasion of Iraq as an excuse, they are bombing more Iraq`s than anybody on a daily basis.

These are just plain and simply terrorists hiding behind the Islam banner.

I recently read a book on the crusades, its a very in depth piece and it seems that today it even gets used as an excuse for various atrocities...can you believe that...after all these years.

But even back then there were the different branches of the religion viciously opposed to the others, these people couldn`t even get on with their own even back then.

But one thing is clear, there is real change in the air, lets just hope its a positive thing....but I doubt it

Initially the war in Iraq was purely down to economics. Saddam had not complied with UN resolutions for 12 years. He had made recent, although woefully ineffective concessions due to the fact that he had 250’000 troops standing on his borders. These troops need to be paid for and sooner or later the Allied forces had to decide, either back off or go in. If they back off Saddam would thumb his nose at them for another 12 years and it would be seen as weakness that other countries run by despots would have exploited.

Saddam was counting on 2 things. Firstly the naive anti-war protesters persuading their respective governments and France, namely Chirac who also made a financial decision, namely to not help fund a costly war and to carry on his illegal oil dealings with Iraq. Remember Chirac screamed harder about not being afforded all the lucrative re-building contracts than he did about going in the first place. Remember Saddam went out of his way to convince his enemies that he was developing WMD’s all the better to terrify them with.

It was a sad but very necessary decision to go in and history will prove Blair and Bush right.

And before anybody starts on me being a right wing fascist, a Blairite etc. I would like to point out that Blair’s stance on the war is the only thing he has done right.

These terrorists’ attacks would have come to us sooner or later regardless of Iraq’ these extremist’s are no more a right and proper representative of Iraq than they are of Islam.

A final note, when they next dig up yet another mass grave of men women and children in Iraq remember that the perpetrators of these crimes are the freedom fighters that you want to give Iraq back to.

That's the first time I have heard such an opinion from an American, but if I was American I would feel exactly the same way you do. A lot of Americans I speak to seem to be too wrapped up in the whole mighty America blowing up everyone to be worried bout what the rest of the world thinks of them. But, unfortunately you are right, more now than ever a lot of people seem to have a very negative view of America.

It's fornicating sad....really! Unfortunately, a lot of Americans are either to naive, or just too stupid to realize how fucked up Bush had made our lives! One of the big things that I always wanted to do before I die was see various parts of the world, which I'm certain many others share that wish...now...I doubt very much that it will ever happen, unless we get this fornicating idiot Bush out of office, but then it's still going to take years for the reputation of America to ease around the world. People like Bush, his wife and others of that stature, hell they have 100 body guards where ever they go around the world...and they try to tell us...don't worry...travel...yeah right...loan me about five, or ten secret service agents and I'd be glad to!

You're not alone. It's pretty much like that over here. A lot of people do not seem to realise just how much Blair has messed up our lives. Stealth taxes, petrol price rises, lies, lies and more lies, political correctness gone mad and the human rights charter that allows preachers of hate to go unpunished, crime for ever rising and the NHS in a right mess - and he has been voted in again. We do not even have any real alternative to the Labour party atm. What a mess.

Politics is all about money, and always has been.

The rich find ways to control the poor in a structured way so that they can keep on getting richer and richer, whilst the poor are brainwashed into believing it's for some "greater" purpose.


Example...

Back in the 1700's there was this little uprising called the "Boston Tea Party" which more or less everybody knows about... But not everybody (mostly "Americans") knows that the tea boats weren't attacked because the people couldn't afford the tea due to tariffs(which is the common interpretation here), but because those who started this uprising had "stock" in an "American" tea company. Even after these so-called horrible tariffs, the British tea was still less expensive than the "American" tea. The "Americans" disguising their true agenda, turned it into a political statement.

This is the way of the world. Almost everything is disguised with something misleading, so that the poor don't know, and the rich get away with just about everything.

You're right about that Tantum, but money more so defines the republican party as opposed to the democrat party. It's funny, I just don't understand how someone who works their ass off six, seven days a week for little better than minmum wage can go around and proudly declare that they are republican...that is really sad...actually very misinformed people...it's like the republicans in politics could come straight out, which they do in a round about way if people would just listen, and tell people fornicate the poor, we rich are just going to continue to walk all over you and get richer and richer from your labor and the poor guy listening is like...hell yeah...sign me up for that...republican and proud of it. I can completely understand for someone rich being republican, but the poor man...well I better lay off the subject...people dislike me enough as it is, so I don't need all the republicans chasing me with pitchforks like angry villagers after the Frankenstein monster!

All this political stuff makes me wanna puke. All I see is misguided idiots perpetrating acts of pure cowardice and hiding behind false beliefs and tenets, on innocent people going about their daily ratrace

From a selfish viewpoint I'm happy to live in a country once described by an ex prime minister of ours "the arse end of the world"
