But you don't think Hatton could get that installed in his contract should he want it? He is as big a name as any of them mentioned and despite his nationality I think will sell tickets as fast as either Corrales, Mayweather or Judah (Judah often appears as cheif support to big bills, only recently Mayweather has been back in the big fight towns).
I think any promoter would sacrifice the site fee to get Hatton's signature on contract - thats of course if Hatton is adamant he will stay in Manchester. They will make more money with Hatton name on signature than they will with just the site fee.
Sacrifice the site fee!!! Good job your not promoting mate, so you think a promoter is going to fling away a couple of million dollars? Bearing in mind the fighters want paying anyway....
It's so much easier logistically to put fights on in the states for them, otherwise they are staging fights at 3. am in Manchester, travel arrangements and convincing opponents to go there just doesn't stack up to me.

Maybe we'll see some quality cards put together for once?
4 or 5 quality fights on one card will sell rather than one main event and everyone else fighting TBA.
Lets not forget the MEN can be scaled down with the curtains to 10,000 capacity if need be so he doesn't have to sell 22,000 for every event.

Do what?
If you're talking about sizing down the MEN of course he wouldn't want to do that but he has the option of scaling it down if need be. i.e. putting on a smaller promotion there.

He is going to have to pay the same rent if he sells 10,000 or 22,000, so there is no benefit in scaling down
However, the reality may be that he can't sell 22,000. What were the crowds like at any of the non Hatton headlined MEN shows?

Brodie fights they were scaling it down to the 10,000 capacity.

I wasn't alluding to any benefits in doing so, but putting to bed the myth that he would have to sell anything close to 22,000 tickets. Matchroom for example have put Brodie fights on there with the curtains around and a 10,000 capacity and you would think they made money as they have done it more than once.

I am sure more would have gone to Broadie v Harrison fight but the ticket prices were high.
I think if you lower ticket prices your get bigger crowds imo.

Right, and you think Hatton would be happy to take the same pay Brodie got, I very much doubt it. Of course I'm not sure of the exact figures, but I think it's safe to assume Hatton has earned more than Brodie for each of his fights.

I think you're mistaking what I am saying. I was just pointing out that Warren does not have to put on 3 huge shows a year there as someone else alluded to - he could put smaller shows on if he doesnt have the fighters to fill the place. That is all I was saying. Of course he would want to fill the place if he could but in reality could he do that without Hatton? I very much doubt it.
And what does how much Hatton getting paid have to do with it? Hatton wont be fighting there.

I don't doubt it. He could be the biggest draw of all.
But, in the interim period, FW needs a headliner.
As I said in a previous post. If either/both of them can swallow their pride, Audley/FW could be a moneymaker. Audley seems to have the inclination for real fights now and FW needs a name fighter

Hatton is making a good move, Warren will not get him the biggest fights and has zero clout in the US. If Hatton works on a fight by fight basis with the US promoters or even a longer contract he'll get the big fights.
