If Holyfield does become undisputed champion again (ha!) lets hope he can avoid Larry Donald so he can hang onto his belts for a while!

The more this whole heavyweight farce goes on, the more I think to myself, Lennox could come back, smah Bowe, Tua, Holyfield, a chryogenically frozen Tyson etc. to a pulp, be 20lb lighter than any of them even without training, and make about $200m within 18 months.

(And don't anyone start, I don't wish it for a moment, just speculating as to how shit heavyweights are at the moment.)

Holyfield is shot to pieces and even in this era of average fighters holding titles he in my opinion has absolutley NO CHANCE, of reliving past glories. He cant even beat former fringe contender Larry Donald these days.

Holifield can't fight anymore. His performance against Donald showed that. He's at the point where more or less anyone who can throw a punch has a chance to beat him.

Holyfield can still fight. Just not at the level he used to. OR at the level needed to beat the top belt holders. But make no mistake about it: the guys with a world ranking under the top 50 would get a beat down from the 43 year old Holyfield.

Butterbean can throw a punch. Do you really think Butterbean can beat Holyfield? I certainly do not.

Who wants to see Holifield fighting at such a level anyway?. The human body can only take so much punishment and Holifield has long reached his limit.

With regards to upcoming Evander Holyfield fight in Italy I always thought that Italy had an age limit for professional Boxers? About 35?

Or does this only apply to Boxers holding an Italian Boxing license?

No, anyone who is approaching world class, not just anyone. There's still hordes of fighters Evander can beat.

Anyway, Holyfield can still beat plenty of fighters. And this guy who is lined up now is only 6-1 so he is even smaller than the warrior. Should be no problem for Holyfield to ko him early. The only thing that is really in doubt is whats next? Retirement or some one sided beating at the hands of a top ranked fighter? If Evander wants to keep fighting and clobber bums he has earned that right. But I wouldnt want to see him slaughtered against a top guy.
His tenacity might yet land him a title shot. Just hope he doesnt get killed before hanging them up for good.

Sure, Evander can mash tons of heavys, but he's left the top rankings for good.

The problem is that great active fighters inspire greatness. One reason for a lack of new HW talent maybe?
