Yeah i find alot of the Duva's annoying, Lou Duva used to always be trying to start a fight if his boxer lost, you used to get the boxers trying to embrace each other after the final bell, and Lou Duva trying to start a fight with the opposite corner or even the boxer.

I always rated him as a trainer, but had serious doubts over his ability to keep his cool when needed.

I'm going for Wlad to beat him upand stop him after some shaky moments!

This is a good fight with a lot of questions to be answered by both guys, I was going for Peter by ko within the first 3 rounds but after checking the guys record he's gone the distance twice and both times against tall guys so that made me think maybe he has trouble with tall fighters and Wlad is bigger than most with a wicked left hand so Peter might struggle to get near him to land his big shot, we know Wlad is a bit dodgy when he gets one on the chin but we don't know how Peter will react, it's a hard fight to pick for sure so without any confidence whatsoever I'll go with the more experienced Klitschko

I think Doug Fischer encapsulated it well - It's mental deficiencies versus technical deficiencies. You can throw in physical disadvantages too.

My initial prediction was for Wlad to bounce plenty of heavy shots off the advancing Peters and wilting when he doesn't stop coming by the middle rounds.
But thinking about it, when it comes to quality there's no comparison so i predict a steady beating from Wlad resulting in a late & cautious TKO stoppage.

Easy win for Wlad. Early ko. Wont reach the 5th round. Peter will be pumelled hard and will prove his chin is very deficient vs Wlads right hand.

Not many going for Peter. I can't see Klitchsko going the distance and think after controlling the first few rounds and building up a lead on the scorecards a tired vlad will get caught with Peter's bombs. I was picking Vlad a week ago easy but i think my hate of Vladimir has come into my change of prediction.

Peter : 243
Klitchsko : 244

A description from a poster at another site said that both looked good, especially Peter whoose body was leaner than he had ever seen him.

Ricardo Torres has also made weight - no weight announced but a thumbs up from his coach.

Good pics knockout. Both are in good shape for heavy's, but Klit looks a little musclebound around the shoulders. Peter looks quite good - quite lean.

By all accounts Samuel Peter is very good in training, doesn't go out partying , shows in his physic this time.
I'm still going to go for Wlad in this one, but it is going to be very interesting fight to watch.

One question for you all, seeing as Vitali is WBC champion , what would happen if Wlad was rated No1?

I'm surprised that Peter is only 1 pound lighter, he must have legs like tree trunks because he doesn't look fat there at all.

The sanctioning vermin have scuttled up to the plate and made this an IBF and WBO eliminator, so I imagine Wlad would keep one (or both) of those while Vitali ruled the WBC, with Don King continuing control of the WBA.

just put £50 on klitchko on the strength of Peter remaining a plodder with a dig, the punch that sanders landed being good enough to floor most HW's and the brewster fight being a one off bad night fluke defeat.... starting to have images in my head of peter rushing in to finish off the big ukranian early doors now... <gulp>

On a plus note some mook in work was just showing off his new yosemite-sam mud flaps ..... <sigh>

After seeing those weigh-in pics I think you might be right, because IF this goes into the later stages, and particularly if Wlad has thrown a lot of punches (which he'll need to do to keep Peter off him) I can see his guard dropping about the 9th, as those arms look a bit too muscley.

One question I have about Peter is his stamina. So far he's never been pushed. Never been in a fight in which he couldn't dictate his own work rate. So none of us have had a chance to see what happens when he gets hit in a fight when he's tiring.

Unless he scores big early, that seems a likely possibility against Klitschko. Like him or not, Wlad has tools that Peter does not have and he has the reach.

I'm going with Klitschko by a late stoppage. Unless he gets tagged, I just think he's more skilled than the flat-footed, pawing, one-punch-at-a time-throwing Peter.

Unless Peter lands a fluke power punch and makes Wlad fold, then Wlad's going to own him.
