Wright would be too big an ask, even for Floyd. No reason for him to give himself such a size handicap, not when he's got real fights with Cotto and Hatton to hand.

To me, even at 135 Floyd looked like he was in the wrong weight divsion, at least when he was in with Castillo for the 1st fight.

What does he actualy weigh on fight night at 140, anyone know? Not much more than 140 I'd imagine.

I dunno, but I thought he actually looked stronger against Gatti than he'd done at 135.

Yes, but Gatti started in the lower weights. Winky would come in at around 160 on fight night. Didn't he weight over 164 against Trinidad?

Quite possibly. He certainly looked strong at middleweight.

Mayweather v Wright would be a daft match and I hope it never happens. Floyd shouldn't be running all over the ring away from an opponent when he's clearly now a strong light-welter. He looks frightening when he's inflicting damage, I'd hate to see him sacrifice that in an attempt to pick and poke his way past a much bigger opponent, even if he could pull that off.

Ricky has a better chance than most give him. Its a very interesting fight though.

Its far harder to slip a barrage of painful bodyshots that constantly keep coming. PBF will have to be moving constantly and constantly counter to stop Hatton charging him to the ropes with bodyshots.

Its would be a constant battle between Ricky closing the gap and keeping him under pressure and PBF slipping, parrying, countering and bounding in and out of the pocket with combinations. It will be a battle of Footspeed, workrate and sticking to the gameplan under pressure.

I lean towards PBF all the same to come out on top for a late stoppage or UD (especially as Ricky has yet to face a slickster) but I wouldn't put my money on either.

We shouldn't underestimate the affects of Mayweather's punches on Hatton. He shipped a few right hands from Tszyu but that's not to say that Mayweather couldn't rattle him with a left hook OR a right hand.

I heard Floyd weighs 140 year round but a Floyd fan on another forum claimed Floyd weighed 147 on fight night against Gatti for what thats worth

I was really impressed with Floyd against gatti. It wasnt just that he won but how... he showed real power as well as speed.
If Floyd beat Winky it would be a great performance even if he has to hit and move... which he would need to.

If Winky beat Floyd though they'd be saying he beat a blown up Light or something though.

But for what it's worth, even though I think Mayweather's speed would give Hatton the most trouble, the venue (i.e. sanctioning commission) and ref would be the biggest factors in deciding a winner.

i agree with the fact that ref 1st and venue 2nd, would be the deciding factors. someone should tell ricky this. but he probably also knows this.
