The big difference is Sports Network give their world champions marking time fights when in reality no world title fight should be such. Some of their world title fights have been nothing short of disgraceful. What other promoter announces a world title fight with no opponent and the opponents comes in a few weeks before - that is shocking I don't know of any other promoters who do that worldwide. Please enlighten me if I am incorrect. Practically every Calzaghe or Harrison defence is announced without an opponent.

Clip of Hussein knocking down PacMan. Local referee Carlos Padilla is obviously trying to set a new world record by giving his mate a 20 count......

I remember seeing Scott in against the 'Pocket Rocket' live at the Braehead and he looked great that night but he's gone backwards since then.
Like most have noted he just ploughs forward and tries to demolish the guy. You can get away with that against the Samual Kedebe's of this world and of course a shot Michael Brodie but fighters like Polo and Medina have pedigree. Scott's performances against Tracy Harris Patterson and later Chacon seem almost like they were by a different fighter and indeed a better one.
Lots of people thought he would have real problems with William Abelyan but those fears proved unfounded and indeed Scott looked like a million dollars that night. If you stand there and trade against him most will be done for but I don't think Nedal will make that mistake.
If 'The Real' as Scott likes to call himself is going to make it to the mega fights with Marquez, Chi and Barrera then he is going to have to ditch this power plodder approach and rediscover his boxing though maybe he can't.
To be honest we've been promised big fights by Warren and Maloney for ages and still nothing so they probably figure their own guy ain't good enough and if they don't why should the Scottish public?
Outside of the ring Scott is a pretty decent if somewhat bullish and no nonsense character but he has got himself into too many silly personal situations like him being barred by several pubs in his native East Kilbride.
That combined with Frank Maloney bitching about ticket sales when he matches him against bums like Kedebe has left an increasingly indifferent feeling towards him by most of his native public.
But I guess I'll still cheer for him on the night. I think he may overpower Hussein but I wouldn't bet my house on it. Overall it is a very decent matchup which weighs slightly in favour of the home fighter.

Don't look skinny there to me.

Not just Sn champs do that though all fighters do it when dehydrated then when rehydrated, one fighter might outweigh the other fighter by quite a lot like he does.

Harrison should be a Welterweight though! :o

Good post :TU:
Yes, thats a cracking post - although I'm giving the edge to Hussein. I don't think the size difference is critical here. I think it was weight drained which cost him a decent performance vs the excellent Larios.

Scott hasn't "beaten" a B grade fight who wasn't taylor made for him, Chacon, Brodie and Wayne (in hindsight with the last one for me) were taylot made for him. He's fought a lot of ex champions, who were well past it and in Abelyan, he fought a guy who fought the wrong fight. It was Scott Harrison's best display, but people overlook that second round in which Abelyan boxed a bit and made Harrison look silly.

IF (and its a bit of an ask) Hussein can stick to boxing, he can win, no doubt. Medina and Polo are okay fighters, but hardly what I call P4P ers. I would say Hussein at 27, has as much (if not more) to offer than Polo and Medina did at 33 and 34 respectfully.

On a side note though we should all really be rooting for Scott against the Aussie. Not out of any kind of patriotism but more to do with the fact that it has to be the mandatory Joan Guzman next.
That certainly is a mouthwatering prospect and has the potential to be a real firestorm. I dare say the British press will make out that Guzman is some Tyson-esque crusher come to bash Harrison up but actually that fight could really be up Scott's street. Guzman 'thinks' and fights like some massive puncher and shows no respect for his opponents offence from what I've seen of him. That makes you look mighty impressive against the ageing Agapito Sanchez and the vastly overrated Fernando Beltran but it may be a different kettle of fish against the Harrison right hand (which has bailed Scott out on a few occassions).
I saw Guzman tee off on Joe Morales for ten rounds aswell without making too major an impact considering the reputation Joan has as a puncher. In the end up I really wasn't that blown away by him and indeed his last 3 have gone the full route.
If Warren and Maloney grow a pair and put that on ITV next year it would be like going back ten plus years ago where you sat around the living room on a saturday (not Friday even if it does rhyme with fight) night drinking cans of cheap lager and hollering for blood with your mates whilst the likes of Benn, Watson, Eubank, McClellan, Wharton etc beat sevend shades of shit out of each other and Naseem Hamed laid out an endless list of South American road sweepers with almost choreographed knockouts and then started break dancing. Class. Pure class. 8)
A different world from Calzaghe-Pudwill followed by Matt Skelton - Fabio Moli.

Well I'll be rooting for Scot. As a fighter, I like his take no prisoners attitude ( though that does get him in trouble outside the ring ) and I was well impressed with the tough matches he won in style as an up and comer.
I think he'll probably overcome Hussein in a war, getting busted up but coming through in the end.
And Harrison/Guzman is a fight I do not want to miss. Still, I make Guzman a favorite here. Yes he's gone the distance in his last three, but remember, these are guys who have never been stopped.

And like Morales at feather, could be that Joan is finding his feet at the new weight.
I watched his blowout of Sanchez, who I don't think had ever been off his feet before, and it was a frightening display of hitting power. One word summed it up - Vicious.
If he lands any of those bombs on Scot, I reckon the champ could be in serious trouble.
