I'm not going to disagree with a #10 for Enzo. I could have used various fighters at various weights as an example.

Unfortunately we have to accept that modern fighters are carefully guided into 'world-titles'. I was just illustrating to Boxingchat that Haye is not the only fighter being managed in such a way.

:P Lee Swaby was tongue in cheek BTW, Enzo was still a bit green after limited amateur experience. Fortunately he has developed well and will be a good test for Nelson or Cantatore.

Just to let you know, I have never ranked Maccrinelli in the top ten in the world. So it was the other voters who had Enzo that high (or higher).

That's OK, I could probably spend all day trying to rank Cruiserweights...Wayne Braithwaite was my no1 six months ago.

My actual point was....Is it right for Fondu to get paid for having the champion and also for 'getting' the challenger ranked just so he can cream it all ways.

David Walker and David Haye spring to mind when they have not even been nominated for their domestic crown yet suddenly they appear rated in Europe and then are matched with Gurov and Karmanzin (Fondu fighters) what are relatively one-sided beatings. Haye refused to fight oldwarhorse Bruce Scott when he was just the English Champion, so how have the Board allowed it?

The only winner is Fondu and the likes of Walker have their career's shortened by taking these no-win fights. Haye is a talent who could not even beat a semi-shot and with all due respect to, Carl Thompson.

Little Mickey 'H' is alway's going on about doing things the traditional way yet it was he who threw Walker in and ruined his career. Life and death with Spencer Fearon and then a shot at a world ranked fighter like Karmazine? Come on - is that good guidence, pure greed, inexperience or plain stupidity - or possibly all three?

Take Michael Jennings, he is a good, very good, domestic champion and somehow is WBO #1. Crazy in my book but I bet he doesn't get his shot until his backers feel he has a chance.

All rankings are debatable but let's be honest, no one forces the issue and you can alway's pull people out.

In the case of Walker, definately a shocking decision and IMO Haye will get exposed again too. He has unquestionable talent but needs time to develop it, as Maccarinelli has done. Gurov, who means nothing, will beat him up - mark my words, only Fondu will gain from this.

Haye should take a page out of Audley's book and stop being thge jockey and the horse and fight Enzo Maccarinelli. If he wins or loses against him at least both will still have a future.
