I have every sense of humour, but in this political climate, this article is extremely distasteful....not to mention that I find the manner in which all other religions have to be 'respected ' and shown deference whilst Christianity is routinely lambasted as extremely hypocritical.

I mean, do you imagine the the Onion would ridicule Mohammed in this manner?

The Guardian are a great example of this hypocrisy, constantly maintaining anti-Christian sentiments and ridiculing the Church while constantly reminding its readers what a cultured, educated and great religion Islam is...

they should just ban writing / talking about religion full stop out side of the relevant meetings / chruiches whatever and unless its in a correct context.. Ive no interest in it and find it pretty offensive when its pushed on me in papers and even on the street corner.
I have on one occasion theatened to level some fornicating nut stood on the street corner trying to preach to me on my way home one sunday morning, why the fornicating idiot wasnt in church and on a street corner i have no idea.
When I pointed this out to him he became quite agressive well until i did back, not very christian I know but then again im not religious nor am i stood on street corner with loud haler spouting forth bollox..

np public sermions outside your designated church fornicate it, it causes more aggravation than good always has done through time and always will.

its a personal thing and thats the way it should stay.

No, I disagree, free speech is one of the greatest liberties attainable, but there should be no hypocrisy/double standards attached to it....

Hmmm I don't think Khan is a big banger... he hit Gethin and Carey with all kinds of big shots and they did nothing....

but there are. nearly always.

and freedom is speech is load of old horseshit at times quoted by liberals who only see one side and the side they are on. If its offensive and damaging to the majority then it should be stopped.

end of.

folk wont tolerate me effin and blinding in the street so why should I have to listen to the power of the lord being shouted at me through a speaker system? If I wanted divine inspiration id go to the relevant place of worship not listen to some fornicating fruit loop on a street corner.

its is always double standards. Hence some folk being allowed to spout filth in public BNP / Abu hamza whomever.

what about my freedom to be able to travel home with out having to listen to it, be harrassed by them ? What about the hate incited by such people cos they have the freedom of speech.

all im saying is keep your religious stuff for the places that are religous, dont spout it on streetcorners. Most folk are happy to do this and i dont understand why a small minority as always happens fornicate it up for the decent people and their beliefs.

Ive no problem with religion as long as it is kept out of my face. I dont judge them so dont judge me. certianly not behind a microphone in a public place. :TU:

It wasn't some ginger scouse twat with a shell suit was it J? I know a few people who have had trouble with this overzealous plonker.

You're thinking about that Scouse wanker in Oxford Street. He got a mention in Viz this month.

I hate people trying to convert me. Most of all, I hate the assumption that i need converting. The premise that it's blind faith or no faith annoys the hell out of me.

And, as alluded to above, treading on eggshells around anything that is not entrenched in British culture whilst having open season on things that are entrenched is the most horrible double-standard. But I think we've done this one before...

That pillock does more than oxford street, I've seen him all over London.

At the moment there's something of a preaching war going on in Brixton, there's about 5 of the fuckers now, and a Rasta dude who rants absolute bollocks and walks around with a walking stick, but who strangely seemed totally normal when someone stopped to talk to him.

There's one guy who is ok, a bald black dude who also works as a doorman, but the rest of them just seem to be complete mentalists. Half of them are either care in the community, or reformed drug addicts who think because Jesus 'saved' them, that we all need saving.

The most annoying one is that fat german looking pudendum with the megaphone who dresses like something from shawoddywaddy.

I wondered if it was him - disappeared for awhile but I saw him on his Oxford street patch last week. Looks like he'd as soon chin you as give you a leaflet. I've got the Krishna HQ over the road - it's like the promised land round here...

Saw the Rasta feller in Borough market one Saturday last winter. It was rammed but my word could he create space, storming around trying to convert people who were more interested in pies and nice cheese. Bizarrely almost nobody seemed to be converted by the shouted incoherences of an extremely agitated black feller waving a big stick.
