Trying to get back to topic here.
In 1962 the NBA changed to the WBA. After that I believe the WBC emerged because they deemed the U.S. had too big an influence on boxing. After that we got the IBF, WBO & who knows what else. Not only do they not recognize each others champions but contenders as well.
One guy is listed as #1 in one organization. The other doesn't have him listed period, even #10. Payoffs are the name of the day. It was cleaner when Mr. Gray was running things from cell block 88. Thank God for the Ring. I wish they would be more pro-active, though. Stop the insanity.
