If Moore made one mistake, (and he probably would) Shavers would take him out.

shavers will be making mistakes the whole fight and moore will be picking shavers apart attacking his weaknesses.

Wheres Ruddock on your list? Ruddock beat 4 former world champions knocking 3 of them out in brutal fashion and was the first to go toe to toe with Tyson while holding his own.

Plus you have Shavers way way to low, Shavers should be second or even first on the list. He knocked out Young, Norton and Ellis all in the first round, Sliced Bugner into ribbons and gave Ali a good fight which I thought he deserved to win. He also deserved the win over Lyle as Lyle was reportdely on the canvas for more than 10 seconds and also should of got the win over a Young Tillis.

norton was shopworn and past his prime and suceptible vs huge punchers, but i do give credit to shavers for the blowout.

- ellis was SHOT he had nothing left

- young was very green, ONLY 7 FIGHTS . a more experienced still young young was robbed in a 10 round draw vs shavers

- bugner was old and well past his prime, the fight took place in the 80s for crying out loud

- ali was shot, he lost to spinx in his next fight, shavers should have been able to beat him

take a look at shavers record, he had a padded record and lost to some very questionably foes

he was a 1st teird A + puncher, but he was not a 1st teir heavyweight fighter.

i agree,

i just tend to think higher of jerry quarry and ron lyle as a fighter than shavers.

i used to think the world of shavers as a fighter because of his power until i realized he was slightly overated as fighter because he was the hardest hitter who ever lived.

yes WBC
I was thinking Ken Norton too. Just checked his record on BoxRec and there's no mention of the WBC championship apart from his loses!

opps sorry I'm wrong Norton didn't win the title in the ring but after an eliminator for the WBC title against Jimmy Young which he won, Norton was awarded the title as Leon Spinks chose to defend against Muhammad Ali instead of Norton, who was their #1 contender.

He then lost his title in his first defence against Larry Holmes

bugner was old and well past his prime, the fight took place in the 80s for crying out loud
And Shavers was even older for crying out loud and was less left than Bugner. Bugner beat Tillis, Page and Bey all in the mid 80's but lost to a detatced retina Shavers.
