I saw that Michalczewski-Gonzalez fight for the first time on saturday. Looked like a bad decision to me. I had DM up by two points, he really took over after a bad start. DM looked painfully old and slow but Gonzalez was eating up huge jabs and looked exhausted. When the decision was announced, Gonzalez was not relieved, but stunned LOL

DM fought the better competition...did Tiozzo ever face someone like a prime Montell Griffin (outside of Hill, who sparked him twice)? Did he face anyone who could bang like Richard Hall? In how many fights was his face left a bloody mess?
And YES it was Tiozzo's fault that the match hadnt happened sooner...he moved to cruiser when 175 was jsut getting interesting, so he will always bear the brunt of the blame.

Tiozzo's very good, but he totally screwed up his prime by going up to cruiserweight for so long. That shows me he wasn't looking for serious opposition or willing to train to his full potential. When you look at him v McCallum and Branco, he is something special
Now he's taking off a lot of weight, seems hungry but isn't fighting anyone well known for his next fight
