I can't bring myself to pay for the Hatton PPV, its just too crap. Even though I can't stand Nelson; I remember when Brendan Ingle said Nelson had "the armory to beat Lennox Lewis" , and that Pele Reid could "unify the heavyweight division"

The only unity that PR was going to bring to the HW division is that each of the champions would have been able to cold cock him inside a round

He was, by accounts, a decent guy, but all that kickboxing bollox limbering up he did in the ring made me want to see him get slapped

Mind you, Brendan has always been one for the Irish hyperbole. Didn't he once say that by the time Ryan Rhodes finished his career, people will be saying "Sugar ray who?"

Another option of course it to watch the Nelson fight live on ITV4 and at the same time listen to the Hatton fight live on BBC Radio 5.

Or would that just get a bit weird and confusing?

Cantatore should make Nelson fight, though. Boy's big and keen and will win rounds if Nelson goes into his shell at all. To be fair, he may win rounds if he spends all his time whingeing to the ref and pirouetting like he did against Braithwaite. That's just the joy of Italy.

I'm also of the opinion that Hatton's not PPV-worthy, but there's a reason these things start when everyone's had a few pints.

Interesting to see how it goes at mid-afternoon PPV in the US. Holiday weekend and all, but for 20 dollars I can't see it doing huge numbers.

I've just downloaded Realplayer so I'm sticking with the radio. If Nelson wasn't on I would have cracked but this is no different than the Hatton fights before Tszyu so it is not worth £15 quid on top of the £42 a month subs I already pay. Also with Lacy Vs Calzaghe and Williams Vs Harrison for free it sort of shows this one up a bit.

Might be worth pointing out though the only Hatton Sky fight I've missed was the Magee fight 'cause I was moving house. I was gutted when I stuck on the radio and heard Magee put him down in the first.

Same here I was on holiday with friends in Cornwall. I taped the fight and watched it about a week later.

Before the Zoo fight I was trying to resist paying up but couldnt resist and the deal was made sweeter when some friends offered to split the bill and make a nigh of it.

Gonna resist this time even though i think i may be a good one to watch, i'll put up with ITV 4 and Nelson.

Does anyone know roughly what time the Hatton fight is due on? I'm going to watch the Nelson fight, then nip up and listen to the Hatton fight on 5-Live ...

I'm a sucker for PPV's, i think i have brought every one since i had SKY, even the Setanta ones...Hopkins-Hakkar anyone? I am looking forward to Hatton-Maussa if only it means the end of the endless publicity surrounding the fight, this happens from time to time i feel when they overdo it a bit. Hatton-Maussa is all over the adverts, the big fight countdown and constant analysis from Darke/Watt etc it's getting on my tits.

Anyway Mayweather is on tonight even if it is delayed, i never pass up an opportunity to see a master at work

I don't have any major objection to paying for PPV, e.g. the Hatton/Kostya fight which I did... but it needs to be either a SPECIAL fight (like that one) ...or have a good supporting card.

This has neither.

If Hatton sparks him in the first round, I'd feel mighty annoyed at shelling out £15 for it... Of course if there were top fights on the undercard as well then it would be ok, but in this case there isn't
