It wouldn't take much for me to make an argument for Froch being AS WELL known to the British public as Calzaghe, given that ALL Froch's fights bar the last two have been on terrestrial television?!
He's not, but Calzaghe is a superstar to boxing fans and the residents of his home town - to the unwashed masses he's as obscure as, well James McD's favourites list.
Froch is seriously over-hyped and seriously over-rated. Brian Magee will end his run...... but i dont see this fight happening. Froch wants to fight only the best, so what the fcuk did he fight Groenwald for???
I hope he does step up and fight Magee though, i'd love to see him get plastered!

Absolutely. Granted Magee was v unlucky against Tsypko, that was the best he's looked, but I'm struggling to think of an aspect of his game in which he holds an advantage over Froch. Apart from keeping yer damn hands up.
I've seen Beyer fight a couple of times in the last 12-18 months, and to be honest I think he's there for the taking too. If Froch's people can tempt Beyer to fight in the UK I'd fancy Froch.
I think this thing about Froch's defence is blown out of proportion. He keeps his chin behind his sholder and does bring up his hands close up. He doesn't take many flush. Also an advantage of the other hand being held low is that it is more difficult for fighters to know where shots are comming from.
I think he is good and although the last fight was a bit bobbins in general he is in tough fights. DOn't see everyones problem.
His left hand is continually by his hip. Yes, that makes it harder for people to see shots coming, but it also makes him far easier to counter. Tucking the shoulder in tight like he does also restricts his movement, and leaves him susceptible to a left cross.
