At least Jim was honest, it was a pretty boring fight. Fact is I don't consider Hopkins a true 'great' ....when the chips were down he wasn't prepared to pull out all the stops in order to win.... Ray Robinson at 41 would put Hopkins to shame...

jim watt wasn't any worse than usual i thought. he did keep repeating himself but he's much better when he's with ian darke. they have more of a chemistry between them and he works off darke a little better.

for the record, i called the fight even in the end. i scored it with the sound on but much as i hate doing it, i called them dead level at 115-115. thought that taylor deserved the win though, based on an overall impression of the fight, if you know what i mean

Watt should not retire he called it as he saw it.
The fight was not very good, Hopkins should retire. Taylor wont last long at this weight I think he move up. He seems to run out of gas.
Does anyone else agree that Glenn McCrory has been weird lately? As in arguing more with the other guests on particular subjects? Is it that time of the month or what?
Good, it's about time he got some balls. He's always been too much of a yes man especailly when working with Darke. Watt is much better because he at least calls it how he sees it.
Haven't got time to read all the posts but just to say I think Jim is the best analyst in the game. He was spot on. Hopkins was terrible, Taylor not much better. He scored the fight wrongly in my opinion and I don't often disagree with him.

He DOES repeat himself quite often but what you might not notice is that he sums up what's happening so early in a fight he doesn't really have anywhere else to go.

As for getting the gloves on, Jim Watt was a far better viewing spectacle than Hopkins ever was.
Well put, I fully agree.
