I like it better. It's really good to have the index so that anyone, who may be researching a certain fighter, can look through the index and find various articles, which some cases the article title may not mention who the fighter is, but still I think it is very helpful.
As to the other cover person...I don't know without looking, so I'll leave it alone.
Well since it looks like no one is going to get it, I saw the cover in a 1952 issue of Ring celebrating they're 30 year anniversary a couple of days ago...the final guy was none other than the man responsible for the Walker Law legalizing boxing in New York...James J. Walker!
P.S. Thomas Tate was a middleweight who never fought in the Olympics...John Tate did and Thomas Tate's brother Frank Tate did, but that was in 1984!
