Why?
We let Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness into the House of Commons.
Whay not let Tyson in?
He served his time, they havent.
What a cock!
Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness were part of an organisation which opposed the occupation of part of Ireland by British troops, hardly comparable with a man convicted of rape.
My family live in Northern Ireland, and being a catholic in Northern Ireland was like being a second class citizen until very recently, so it's probably best not to try and sum up a complicated political situation with glib comments like that one....
So what, my family are ctholics from Kerry. When my grandfather was posted in NI after the war he was treated very badly by the prodestants.
Its not a glib comment, I'm just showing the hipocrisy of the British Government.
The IRA have killed both Catholics and Prodestants, James.

Good response mate. Lets not forget that Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness are "allowed" in parliament because over 200,000 people elected them.
Yes, probably worth remembering too that Nelson Mandela was once called a terrorist, and was involved in some rather nasty incidents as a young man....he was no angel, but he was committed to a just cause.
It's a good thing that Sinn Feinn are in the parliament, it's the only way forward as you cannot govern a country where half the population have no say in the political process.
My Grandfather was an MP in Northern Ireland in the 1920's, he was a labour MP, but his career was ruined by sectarianism, he was a protestant married to a catholic, and he stood on a non partisan platform, that simply couldn't last in Northern Ireland, where religion invariably rears its ugly head.
Yeah, like you said its a complicated subject and it doesnt help when people make pathetic, ill-educated comments. But hey what can anyone expect when people get their knowledge of affairs from the Sun?
I dont even read the sun you pompous ponce.
Its an observation, if you dont like it, do one.

I'm well aware of that, and I know that in some senses they are little more than a Mafia. Perhaps I misinterpreted your comment, to be honest with your surname I should probably have worked that out.
I see now what you mean, but I still wouldn't compare the two cases, Tyson is simply a convicted rapist, it's not like he was fighting for some cause....
Maybe I should just lighten up.

Laimlion,
I know more than you give me credit for.
I know ther will be a united ireland within 25years.
I know that Adams and McGuinness were involved in the killing of innocent people, both catholic and prodestant.
I know that Blair was involved in the killing of innocent people.
I dont think Mike Tyson was.
Lets not ban a man from these shores when there are far far worse over here in positions of power.
