Little boxing know how?? I would be more inclined to say it smells of "I'd like a good pay day fighting khan and in my mind i'd drop and beat him" how can you say a guy with deans record has "little boxing know how" ?

Yea remember Haye-Thompson - Khans a Haye sort fighter - he'll dominate early but if you can tire him and bring an attack later a KO is possible

I think Cook is a very good bet to win a real world title this year.

It would be ace to see him and Bernie Dunne go head to head later this year.

Enzo Macca has a chance. his last two fights have been useless preparations for fighting Johnny Nelson, but Macca's combinations and body punching have been looking very sharp and hurtful, especially vs Bruce Scott & Lamontagne. if he can land on the ultra clever, tricky - but ageing Nelson...Enzo definitely has heart, he battled back well in that disastrous opener vs Scott, but can he handle proven skills?

seems like Haye wants to rush into a title shot so he can move up to heavy - which is ridiculous. hopefully he remembers Herbie the love bug getting dropped by the air generated by Riddick Bowe and V Klitschko's punches...Haye needs to wait for the Macca-Nelson winner, and IF successful he can use that WBO title to take to the table for whoever the undisputed champ is after Bell-Cunningham

William Hill can hardly seperate Enzo and Johnny, which I did feel odd - you get bigger odds on Diego Corrales and Danny Williams winning their next bouts than Enzo Mac.

Sounds about right to me, a year or two ago, Nelson would have been a biug favourite, but he's looking a little creaky now, and has been hurt recently in fights.

Macca may lack for poise and defence, but his offence appears world class at times and he can certainly punch.

Nelson could well be leading on all cards when Macca finds the shot which ends the fight.

I think Nelson looked really good last year against Rudiger May. Sharp & accurate, and destructive when he has to be. He still has the look of a champion, encountering problems, figuring them out and doing what's necessary. his counters might really do EM in, if he puts anything into them.

obviously, there's no better an opponent than a young, determined puncher like Mac to take him out of his comfort zone. I'm pretty sure Enzo will connect and I'm not sure what the reaction will be. Will Nelson get blasted out, go into a shell, or find his best work?

what i like about Nelson is that he's mentally strong now. in his last fights he's not only been fighting his foes, but also the judges (one of them, vs Petkovic), the ref (eager to take a point away at any chance, vs May) and the timekeeper (that extra time vs Cantatore, post knockdown) in hostile environments.

I don't think Cantatore really hurt him, seemed more like a shot that got nelson off balance as he was leaning into a right hand. but Enzo can definitely inflict some hurt.

Does everyone thing Amir is with the right trainer. I say that because he has a lot of apparent problems which have yet to be Ironed out and is still to go over 4 rounds.

I cant say I know much about his current bloke (ex kickboxer or something, who else does he train?)

THINK not THING , he seems to be getting better - conditioning/speed and power so the trainers doing something right.
