Not knowing all that much about what the average purse is for a fighter just by taking into account what your expenses would add up to it makes sense to think their are only a handful of fighters who would earn good money at boxing. Plus you have to think about all of the time a fighter spends preparing with the long hard workouts that he is not getting paid for.

Plus you have to think about all of the time a fighter spends preparing with the long hard workouts that he is not getting paid for.[/quoteWhen you first turn pro and are fighting 4 rounders, you are making hundreds not thousands.I dont know how it is now but 20 years ago if a fighter was working a job as well as training, it was not a desk job usally so when you got to the gym,you were already tired.A tough life , but a good and honorable one.
