This kind of thing happens. A few people might feel very strongly that a guy should make it; but there simply isn't enough of them. This time McFarland only missed by 1 vote. He is getting close.

A fighter has to be retired 10 years before becoming eligible. Leonard just became eligible (his last fight was in March of 1997) and he was elected in this past election.gheeme wrote:where's SR Leonard, Chavez and Duran??

This will clear up some space for a new set of guys to make it.
I think there will be 1 or 2 more clear elections (the process, not just 2 inductees), after that though all of the obvious cadidates will be used up.
