Whoever is put in charge the papers will be trying to drag any piece of dirt on them into the public eye, Ericsson was a fool when it came to the press, he thought he was above them and they couldn't touch him.
Just a thought why does Ericsson have to take his missus to these games, shouldn't he have his fellow england people around him to ask them questions during a game. Ericsson gets £4,000,000 a year to run England, not a bad job.
Tord Grip doesn't suck his cock half as well as she does.
Sven is a waste of money, I was more than shocked when they upped his money after those Chelsea talks that was utter madness they made him unsackable at that point. Then again he was sharing the same pussy with Palios who made that decision.

It beggars belief how much Erikkson was paid, fornicating ludicrous, especially as the cheeky pudendum was having talks with the chelsea people, they should have told him to go fornicate himself.
The trouble is, for most managers, club football is more important than managing a national team in terms of prestige, a managers credentials are judged on domestic trophies.
This is why personally I'd like to see an English manager brought through. I'll bet if you offered it to pearce he'd do it for a 10th of what Erikkson was paid.

It would be good to have an english manager of the english team, but it aint going to happen anytime soon. Simply, there is no one good enough. Pearce may be in time, but Curbishley and Allardyce would be royally found out.
Go with the best man for the job ( I think O Neill. but Hiddink(sp?) would do ) and give them an englishman as assistant ( Pearce or Taylor )
I think that would be a pretty decent combo for the next lot of qualifications games.

Looking at it , for once England do have quite a few people to choose from for this job, Allerdyce, Pearce, McClaren, Curbishly, Bruce, Robson etc.
I know Pearce has said he doesn't think he's experienced enough, but if England did knock on his door i can't see him turning them down.
It doesn't take much for a manager to be on the way down in league football, i remember Peter Taylor was being touted as one of the next top guys a few years ago , after a few bad results and a sacking he's at Hull.

What England need above all else is someone with a bit of passion who can stir that up in the players. Sven for all his supposed tactical nous (anyone seen it?) is a damp squib. Imagine Pearce on the sidelines and in the dressing room geeing up the boys. In reality international managers do not have to be master tacticians the England players are good enough they just need someone to motivate them. Pearce would be my choice. Would Pearce have sat on the bench sullen 2 v 1 down against Brazil's ten men or would he have been on his feet screaming, yelling and actually trying to change the course of the game. There's your answer.......

Nick, I have to disagree
The " cry God for Harry England" approach is antedeluvian. We really do need people in the job who don't think tactics are small breath fresheners and, at this point, we don't have anyone with that nouce.
I am a fan of the involved manager which Pearce certainly is, but am pretty certain that someone doing a Magnus Pyke on the sidelines would not have helped us against Brazil. A tactical substitution, sure, but flailing away like a windmill??

Agreed, but the fact that Sven reputedly did and said absolutely NOTHING under the circumstances is lamentable.
