Also, if this fight goes ahead and I was Ricky I would pay Baldomir's sanctioning fees for all three belts for the Judah fight out of my own purse - that way if he wins he really does control all roads out for Mayweather.

Your assuming he wants the PBF fight. ALSO don't you have to pay sanctioning fees in advance? I doubt you can pay them in retrospect. I think IBF wants the sanctioning fee from PBF-Judah

Yes I'm assuming he wants the PBF fight. I believe he does. And yes you normally have to commit to sanctioning fees in advance but if there really is a court date coming up then offering to pay the fees now might help muddy the water. After all, Baldomir earned the right to those belts in the ring.

How quaintly retro. Very 2003. Do you also find yourself marvelling at the recent invention of the I-pod and voting New Labour?

Hatton's career resume probably says "multiple world champion, Ring belt holder, multi-millionaire on it" - it might put your three GCSE's to shame.

Ricky's award winning performance: best fake "low-blow" of 2005 (versus Tszyu). :TU:

That was no fake he really did whack Tszyu right in the nads. Hard.

Unless you mean the other low blows, the two delivered below Hatton's belt which he barely paused to even register before getting back into the fight.

Help me out. I sense you don't respect him but this is a thread about one potential match-up. If you just want to criticise his entire career your arguments risk being discounted as being somewhat......sweeping......

No I was talking about the knockdown that was sort of semi-ruled as a "low blow" where Ricky ended up on his knee but the replay showed clearly it was on the beltline. Interesting call............ I wish we had a mic on the ref to hear all the stuff Ricky was saying to him throughout the fight.

The ref should have either stopped the clock, ordered Tszyu to a neutral corner and given Hatton up to five minutes OR score the KD; which if he had the benefit of the replay, is what he should have done.

That's what you get when you couple either Mickey Vann or Dave Paris with Ricky's brilliant acting. Someone said he's had some TV appearances in the UK recently. Good stuff.

A couple months from now, if Hatton beats Baldomir, we'll have a new 2 division LINEAR champion. Take a look at his rap sheet, you'll see Tszyu(35?), Ben Tackie, Ray Oliviera(LOL!!!), Maussa and Baldomir. Scratch your head.

Go HATTON!

Well in fairness, Tszyu was giving Hatton's dangleberrys a bit of a going over during the fight, though that shot did appear to be on the beltline, it's not exactly easy to tell in the heat of the moment. It is all well and good

Admittedly Hatton hasn't got the most brilliant rap sheet, but he remains the man at 140 until proven otherwise. I have little interest in seeing him take on Baldomir if it means leaving 140 behind, when there are big fights there for him. Although if Mayweather intends to stay campaigning at 147, then it does make more sense.

Give it a rest for fucks sake. Hatton cant win with you, his fight record is not fantastic but he has only just won a world title less than a year ago. And he's taking on Baldomir, while Mayweather feasts on Judah coming off a loss to Baldomir! As I have said elsewhere I am a fan of both but really cant see why Mayweather fans like yourself have to run down his rivals i.e. Hatton. (Not just Mayweather fans really but plenty of fighters' fans try their best to discredit and slag off their rivals). Any time Hatton gets mentioned you get on the thread bleating the same shit. Lets see, Mayweather's early world title career - beats Hernandez for the belt then Manfredy, Rios. Hatton beat Tszyu and then Maussa and now possibly Baldomir or Freitas. Any worse than Mayweathers early world title fights? NO!

Of course Mayweather has a better resume, Hatton has had 2 world title fights while Mayweather has had 13.

The KD Tyuzu scored was legit and not low - go back and watch it, Hattons low blow was dirty and out of order he should of been docked a point. Hatton would have won that night regardless. I don't have a problem with Hatton-Baldomir but Floyds fighting Judah and then DLH, so this won't make a PBF fight it'll make a Gatti fight and thats really Team Hattons Plan.

Are you kidding me?! Mayweather is a terrible comparison for Hatton.

He took on Genaro Hernandez in his 17th or 18th fight. Universally accepted at THE MAN at 130 during the time. He was THE MAN who beat Azumah Nelson! Mayweather finished off Manfredy in 2 rounds in a completely one-sided brutal beating. Manfredy was a HOT prospect at the time and a serious contender for the remainder of his career until his strange disappearance from the boxing scene. What the hell are you on about, boy.

Tszyu had already hit Hatton in the nuts SEVERAL TIMES. Vann had already warned him.

Why should hatton have been docked a point, it's extremely rare for someoen to get docked for a single low blow. The referee is supposed to issue a warning first, so you are talking complte and utter bollocks as usual.

Let's see how fornicating well you would do as a ref without the benefit of Video replay? It's very hard to see exactly where a shot lands when it's on the belt line like that.

Floyd v DLH isn't set yet, but I've always said this fight won't happen this year. I think both men realise that this fight is going to be HUGE after some anticipation and both of them can make a lot of money in the meantime fighting lesser opposition, why else would Floyd bother taking on Judah, who he is likely to beat pretty easily?

Who'd win in Baldomir-Judah 2?

G Hernandez was P4P back then (beat Azzumah Nelson) and PBF was very young (still the same age as HAtton), Manfredy was fresh off beating Gatti, PBF HAD 5 WORLD TITLE FIGHTS IN HIS FIRST YEAR AS A CHAMPION - that is the difference, Garena had gone close with G Hernandez a year or so earlier.

It's just too bad the bigger names like Mosley, Cotto and Hatton all turned Mayweather down for a fight in 2005.

PBF did have time off with domestic issues post-Castillo - discounting that win is pretty unfair - its a huge P4P win 3-4years ago or not - PBF is actually better if anything now.

Discounting an old Tyuzu who was contemplating retirement Hattons CV is poor. IE Tackie and Phillips (and Stewart+Vilches) his best 2 opponents lost to Mitchell PBFs last opponent. Maussa was very poor and basically got lucky - you can't make a career off beating guys who got lucky.

Stalking you? What are you smoking? You're one step off being a troll. ;)

I was merely pointing out that Mayweather and Hatton are at different stages. Hatton took longer to get to world title level granted but his world championship career is still in its infancy. And Hatton beating Tszyu is comparable with Mayweather beating Hernandez, Tszyu was THE MAN and 140 without any shadow of a doubt.

We can only isolate Hattons last three years because that is when he started to reach his potential and join true world championship class.

I just don't understand anyone criticising this choice of opponent (although, incidentally I will believe it when I see it, too many rumours flying around at the moment): he is the undoubted king of the welterweights, having just taken out the undisputed beltholder.

You can admire Hatton without dissrespecting Mayweather and vice versa - liking the two is not mutually exclusive. I think Mayweather beats Hatton in a close brutal fight (and indeed, the vast majority of posters on here, no matter how pro-Hatton they are, genuinely fancy PBF to win.)

Phenom thats mostly fair comment I reckon.

though you cant dicsocunt zoo and were most people calling him old prior to the fight no they werent so that argument wears a tad thin.

Im merely pointing out to one particulalrly one eyed poster on this issue that PBF has hardly been setting the world alight for the past 3 yrs.

So to criticise hatton for his chouces of opponent, well we can do that to any fighter at certain times cant we.

Even ali had his soft touches when he was champ.

That's all fine because it actually helps prove my point anyway. Even during Hatton's "stronger" years, sure Hatton had better opposition but it isn't too big of a difference. Ofcourse there's no sense in it but what if we made a comparison of Mayweather and Hatton's fights before that three year period, that would look just ridiculous beside each other wouldn't they...
