i think that was the case, no sure anymore. Night of the undisputed was a king card (ruiz rahman, hopkins joppy was on there and was it spinks mayorga too??)

Then no chance of any heavyweight title bouts then since King controls them all.

Exactly, it's not a hard fight to promote, far from it in fact, but they can't be arsed.

As a rule they rarely show King shows - seems he asks for more dollars than Arum does - maybe he charges by the 1b - and the obviously cash strapped Sky can't afford it.

Looking at their underwhelming line up I'm glad I canceled a month ago - half the fighters listed I've never heard of.

Wonder if they'll show the next King show - PBF v Judah. That's one I'd still like to see.

Well I just fired off an abusive email and threatened to savage them in the next column I write, so I fully expect nothing positive to happen whatsoever.

I dunno if they have had their fingers burnt in the past with some underwhelming PPV figures but I would certainly pay my 15 squid to them to see this one live!! :TU:

It's a Bob Arum promotion and not a Don King show.

Sky are a disgrace not showing this yet we get crappy british and japanese fights that a small minority watch.

this is the wbc heavyweight title between the two biggest names in the division.

He only does Christmas cards

To be honest, I'm not convinced this will be a great fight. Although I've got huge respect for Toney's abilities, this could be a festival of man-flesh with sporadic boxing. Rahman's never really been that much fun to watch and Toney's weight is another factor. This could be a snoozer.

To be fair to SKY at least they are showing a lot more evenly fought fights for REAL domentic titles these days. We have had some tremendous fights on the domentic scene on SKY over the last few months.

I remember not so long ago many on here were complaining that they were sick of bogus titles and mismatches being all you get on SKY, why can't they show British title fights instead of WBU etc etc etc

you're right, there's been some top domestic stuff. things seem so much better than before warren moved his fighters to itv. however, this seems to have come at a cost: we're not getting the US fights we want. if we do it's cos it's on standby.

then again, things haven't been buzzing like they were this time last year. in the first half of 2005 it was non stop quality matchups and those lads at sky Dare Not bring some of them to us

i'm sure winky-taylor, tarver-hopkins, hatton-TBA, castillo-corrales III will liven things up a bit.

Don't worry....WE haven't even been getting good fights for cheap over here.

I have also written to Sky in the past for not showing certain fights (Trinidad-Mayorga got me started I think). They are really damaging the sport by missing so many fights. Also, I wish they had some sort of boxing email alerts to let you know as soon as they decide they are televising a fight (I missed Vargas-Mosley), or even a monthly / quarterly email from somebody to talk about fights they have shown, fights they want to show in the future, reasons for not getting some of them and so on. Would be nice to have some sort of poll for certain fights to be shown, something they'd react to.

I thought Don only had Brewster & a piece of Valuev. Rahman's with Arum and Byrds a free agent?
